Virginia Republicans on Tuesday killed legislation that would have loosened abortion restrictions after the bills sponsor admitted it would allow the procedure even after a mother went into labor.
A House subcommittee voted 5-3 to table H.R. 2491, called the Repeal Act, with all Republicans voting to table it and all Democrats voting against.
Virginia House Democrats proposed legislation to allow abortions up to just seconds before that precious child takes their first breath, the Virginia House Republicans said on Facebook. Watch for yourself. Thankfully, our strong conservative majority was able to defeat this bill.
In a viral video, Democratic Delegate Kathy Tran acknowledged Tuesday that her bill would permit abortions at 40 weeks, the end of the third trimester, if deemed necessary to protect her mental or physical health.
Heartbreaking, tweeted the Virginia House GOP. This isnt in New York, this isnt in California, this happened just this week right here in Virginia.
Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin called it a sad commentary on the culture of death that continues to creep insidiously into the laws of our country.
During the subcommittee hearing, House Majority Leader Todd Gilbert asked Ms. Tran if it would be legal under her bill for a woman to receive an abortion after dilation begins.
Mr. Chairman, you know, that would be a decision that the doctor the physician and the woman would make, Ms. Tran said.
I understand that. Im asking if your bill allows that, Mr. Gilbert said.
My bill would allow that, yes, Ms. Tran said.

Northern VA, where I live is a lost cause.
Thank goodness.
This is so broad to be actually laughable...
...if it wasn't so hideous.
And now they’re also political idiots. Did they really think the GOP would NOT make hay of this? They’d have to be crazy not to.
Maybe we are looking at this the wrong way.
It is only the progressives that will be using this law to commit this heinous act. So they will actually be helping to cleanse the gene pool of their mental disorder.
[[[Nothams nickname at VMI was COONman.]]]
That tells you he’s the one with the penchant for black-face.
RE: Thank Goodness
One battle won, but this is a long war for the hearts and minds of the American voters.
It is interesting that this news is just now appearing. the vote to table the legislation occurred last week right after Ms Trans questioning. They even kept talking about the proposed legislation on Fax and Friends Weekend without mentioning that it had already been defeated. I am really getting tired of the manipulation of the news.
Did he borrow those Pants from Hillary?
BTW - A buddy of mine had Pants like that in the 70’s. They were cool back then. He was a hit at the Club, especially when he got one of the first Red Digital Wristwatches.
No doubt helped in part by the publicity generated by "Coonman" (smirk).
“The guy in photo in post 28 is not Northam. Its a classmate and that photo is from some class group of which Northam was the president.”
Then it should be easy for Northam or a classmate to identify the guy in blackface. Still, Northam chose this particular picture for inclusion on his page. I can’t imagine the thought process that went into that decision.

Back in the 70s golf pants were hidious, and so were the casual street fashions that followed the recreational trends. My dad had a hidious green plaid suit, when he passed I gave it to a friends brother who was an accomplished juggler/clown and needed a garish outfit for his act. He was really delighted to get it.
If you don’t understand the hideousness of golf fashion back in the seventies all you need to do is look at some pictures of Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack, that movie went over the top to demonstrate the hideousness in golf attire back at that point in time.
Thanks to President Trump, the GOP finally has balls.
God speaks. Listen carefully leftists.

Adoption should be first priority before anything else.
Absolutely. She’s already carried mostly to term, so this partial birth murder is just that. Murder.
Q. What is Gov. Northram's favorite movie?
A. Partial Birth of a Nation.
What's the difference between an abortion and a lynching, when you get right down to it? Northram can't even wait for them to grow up, is that what he's saying?
