HOUSTON (AP) What started as an online fundraiser to provide President Donald Trump with donations for his southern border wall has morphed into a foundation whose members vow to build a wall themselves.
The "We The People Will Build the Wall" campaign has surpassed $20 million since it was created in December by Air Force veteran and triple amputee Brian Kolfage. The campaign has received almost 350,000 donations even as wall opponents derided the effort and after the longest government shutdown in U.S. history ended with Congress refusing Trump's demand for billions in wall funding.

Now it is starting back up. Just noticed this, and decided to post this on FR.
$20m won’t build much wall, at current costs, but I applaud their effort. $5 says the local and fed govt’s will block all the necessary permits, or something.

The photo with the homemade wind generator is a no-go.
I share your cynicism, plus the Rats will probably file suit to try and stop any construction.
What about building it on private land that borders the border?
There have got to be ranchers who would allow this.
Hey Nancy, Americans will build the wall...so go F yourself...We don’t care what you and Chuckie Doll thinks...
Who takes seriously a pin head college professor's opinion about the border between the US and Mexico? Just more ComDem noise and insanity. Build it.

WE ARE BUILDING THE WALL!!! Do NOT listen to the LYING liberal media!
We have changed mission from we Fund the wall to we BUILD the wall. We will build the wall mile by mile for HALF the cost. We have private landowners lining up to get the wall built!

Several have Opted in and will donate the land as they are being over run by illegals doing property damage. You really need to read the WE BUILD THE WALL PAGE. And look at the Team Airman Kolfage had put together. People we know. Sheriff David Clarke Jr. Tom Trancredo, and more, several have the President’s ear, and he APPROVES.
A Mile of road on this ranch or farm, then maybe the next one over wants a mile Domino effect.
What the Government would require $20 Mil for a Mile can be done privately for $2-3 Mil. Especially if the land is Donated.

Would love to see that lawsuit go public.
And, I'll just bet that MANY landowners will invite the wall on their land. I'd rather have a wall to keep my livestock behind than a fence I have to keep patching up every year.
You can build any type of wall or fence you want on your land.
Yes, and I believe that many many ranchers bordering MX would gladly give permission with no compensation because it would add security for them. I know a number who 30 years ago had class III gun licenses and full auto weapons to defend themselves. The threat is much worse now.
“You can build any type of wall or fence you want on your land.”
Not here in PA; all kinds of regs in-place, and permits required. Perhaps in TX they can.
But Eminent Domain is going to be used and some/many people will lose some part of their property to the Wall.
SCOTUS very bad decision: Kelo v City of New London, CT

For every mile of border wall built, the more the *open* gaps receive more visitors. It’s like water seeking the lowest point to flow through. It’s much smarter to be the high ridge that the water has to move around than the low point that the water moves through.
Sure. As long as it is approved by the overlords AND you cough up the cash for all of those "permits."
Or just ignore them and dare them to do anything while armed patriots stand guard.
