According to researchers, the antibiotic-resistant organism is a local public health threat. APH investigated 37 cases of Carbapenem-Resistant Enterobacteriaceae or CRE at Austin-area medical facilities in 2017, with 18 of those being Travis County residents. "Healthy people usually do not get CRE infections they usually happen to patients in hospitals, nursing homes, and other healthcare settings," the Centers for Disease Control wrote on its website about CRE. Patients who use ventilators, catheters or those who take antibiotics for a prolonged period of time are most at risk, the CDC said. Individuals can make sure to wash their hands to keep CTE at bay, and doctors should prescribe the appropriate antibiotic for certain issues, APH said. Since 2015, the number of cases and the incidence rate of CRE in Travis County have increased... CRE are associated with high mortality rates (up to 40-50 percent in some studies) and have the potential to spread widely. They are considered to be one of the top three urgent drug-resistant organisms in the world today.

Keep Austin Weird
Hmmmmmm..........

Drug-resistant superbug emerges in Travis County (TX)
more weaponized bugs brought in by obola, soros,

Yet another reason to defend our borders.
Important note: Enterobacter is frequently associated with obesity, and the more obese a person is, the greater the percentage of Enterobacter that exists in their intestinal flora. It may also directly contribute to both gaining and keeping excess weight.
In the morbidly obese, instead of the 30-40 different kinds of digestive bacteria dominating the flora, Enterobacter might take up to 1/3rd of the available space.
Bottom line: a DR Enterobacter could be both opportunistic and lethal for the obese.
The bacteria can kill up to half of patients who get bloodstream infections. The former head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has referred to CRE as “nightmare bacteria”.
Now the biological consequenxed from the Amazon basin begin.
An emergency. You bet it is. There also are virus born illnesses , one of which acts like polio, an evolution of entero virus.
We do not know the half of it. The Obama bureaucrat implants at the National Center for Disease Control at Dept of Health refuses to report to the nation what State Depts. of Health are saying about a wide spread creeping epidemic due to illegal immigrant invasion of our country. They receive no health checks and spread their diseases into America to the People , who have no resistance to them.
Sound familiar?
Are we to disappear in a Darwinian epidemic of conquest?
Wake Up America!
It's our fault for not wanting to turn us into them.
I have a friend in X Chicago who was teaching illegal immigrants how to speak English. She was an ESL teacher.
She contracted a strange disease similar to meningitis, was bed ridden for a year, nearly died and now is on continual dosages of steroids just to move around. She can no longer work. THEY STILL DO NOT KNOW WHAT HER INFECTION WAS.
What is happening to our health because of illegal immigration is extremely under reported.
Its a Pulitzer Prize winning story for any journalist willing to investigate, write and publish.
It's "Jaws" mentality. Big Pharma buys politicians, buys ads, and contributes to wonderful things. Nobody wants to affect their bottom line.
I became aware that something was very wrong my first year of substituting in Cleveland Public Schools, 2005-2006. The numbers of students with real disabilities, Autism, and other learning issues is jaw-dropping. Society cannot absorb the numbers, and now waves of them are entering adult hood. There are stores (but not enough of them) set up where all the employees have extreme disability so those with these situations can have purpose and positive contact with people. Then there's the diseases (I got a nasty lung one that required surgery and never completely goes away) that are spread. And these stupid schemes of closing neighborhood schools and transporting students long rides from their home? That's insane. Instead of dealing with problems where they occur, they spread the problems and diseases to places where they're less likely to be identified and addressed.
That and a few other situations make it seem sometimes that we're in a post Sci-Fi world (ie: beyond anything hypothesized in Science Fiction) and hanging on by a thread.
Yes, there is definitely a correlation between illegal "immigration" (invasion) and the appearance or reappearance of infectious diseases recently thought to be nonexistent or nearly so in the United States.
President Trump, in addition to talking about the crime, human trafficking, and drug trafficking occurring with the illegal immigration, should also be adding infectious disease to the list of problems associated with it. You almost never hear a government figure bring up the topic. The only public mention of it that I know of was by Michael Savage on his radio show.
As for a Pulitzer Prize for a journalist who might investigate and publish, don't hold your breath. The subject is too politically incorrect for those who determine the recipients of the prize.

Where is COURAGE? Maybe a returning Vet will take it on.
Never let a good crisis go waste.
So how interested, really, are Republicans in erecting a Wall.
Not very, since a Wall secures our border.
Btw, Where are Texas Republicans seen fighting for the Wall? We see the same five faces from DC every so often, but not McConnell or McCarthy whipping up their houses into any real fever pitch.

Who was it that posted about this, what, 8? years ago? That would be me.

By ordaining themselves as the vessels of official truth, all these entities have done is to make themselves more and more irrelevant. Well done!
