President Trump called the attack "horrible" while discussing a wide range of issues Thursday afternoon.

"Doesn't get worse, as far as I'm concerned," he said.

 

I still believe the lying enemedia is taking words out of context. Either that or Trump is gullible and has swallawed the load.

Smollett has been cooperating with local authorities to find the men he says allegedly attacked him and shouted racial and homophobic slurs, police said.

Smollett has declined to hand over his cell phone to detectives, police added.

 

 

Doesn't sound like cooperation to me. Jussie Boy went trolling for queer sex at 2:00 in the morning. It went predicatably wrong. Now he's blaming Trump supporters.

Trump said the politic thing to say. Anything else would have been pointed to as him being a racist. You just says its "terrible" and if it's proven the guy was lying you say THAT's just terrible too. Gotta pick your battles - there's no upside to calling the guy a liar for someone in Trump's position.

Trump should have kept quite about this “incident”.

I’d like to give him the benefit of the doubt, but he knows the press lies. He knows that they would make him out to be sympathetic to the “truth” of what Smollet said.

And that’s exactly what has happened.

The press threw the bait out there. And Trump bit.
