Global warming is now real. Woodstock voters will decide on Town Meeting Day to tell the state to take action.

One of the articles on the Town Meeting warning is a non-binding resolution asking the state of Vermont to take greater action in curbing the threat of global warming. The Select Board approved the Town Meeting warrant on Jan. 15.

The article identifies extreme and erratic temperatures, severe storms, a rise in tick-borne diseases, and threats to farmers and maple sugar makers is a result of global warming. It acknowledges the state’s comprehensive energy plan but also claims the state is falling short of its goals.

The state should take action specifically against Woodstock and only against Woodstock:

• Make the citizens of woodstock wear masks to collect their Carbon dioxide emissions.
• Tax cars heavily to encourage selling cars and carpooling.
• Tax mileage on cars to encourage driving less.
• Require smart themostats in their houses that won't allow a temperature greater than 68F without a medical excuse.
• Ban all animal products from the city.
• Ration toilet paper

It concerns me that the Dems are trying to push President Trump to take emergency action on the border barrier. This would pave the way for the next Dem president to take emergency action on Goebbels Warming.
