Let the marketplace decide. The FL target audience is still men. Real men. Men like to see pretty girls. Even from a distance.
Do you really “cringe and snarl?” Or do you just roll your eyes?
FWIW, I don’t think they’re useless in a huge stadium. Mascots aren’t. Especially when there can be so much time between plays. But I think old school athleticism and common sense outfits would bring back the fun. If folks want pole dancing, they can hit the local strip club.

Are you going to wage war on all the female titillation(and worse) that goes on when women pay a lot of money to invite male strippers to their hen nights and what not and the women abandon all female dignity, go wild and reach for the unmentionables of the male strippers?

I tend to agree, as a male, I find professional cheerleaders annoying. Really no point to them, but to a significant degree, the same is true for the game on the field. Find a real job, do something useful with all that physical prowess.

Cheerleaders are an iconic American tradition. The NFL is the low hanging fruit. Threaten the NFL and they worry about sponsors, ticket sales, etc., and cave at the sound of the first shot. Cheerleading in the NFL will be gone in a second.
After that it's easy. Call everyone associated with cheerleading at public schools, or who watch them at games perverts, dirty old men, and the girls sluts and whores and there ya go: cheerleading as we know it today is gone
