Mueller investigation near completion, acting AG Whitaker says

Special counsel Robert Mueller has almost finished up his nearly two-year investigation into collusion and Russian interference in the 2016 election, the acting attorney general said Monday.

"The investigation is, I think, close to being completed, and I hope that we can get the report from [Special Counsel] Mueller as soon we — as possible," acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker said during a news conference after announcing criminal charges against one of China's largest telecommunications companies.

"I have been fully briefed on the investigation, and I look forward to director Mueller delivering the report, and I really am not going to talk about an open and ongoing investigation otherwise," he added.

Did you see the Trump tweet today on DWS and the IT investigation? Something is afoot. The sooner the Barr confirmation, the better.

If the release of the Mueller report is done properly, Trump’s legal team will see it first and have an opportunity to rebut it. The AG will review the Mueller report first and decide what will be made public.

I have no doubt the Dems know what is in the Mueller report given the partisans who are doing the investigation. It is clear from the Dems’ shrill and impassioned demand that Mueller not be fired that they believe it will be damaging to Trump.

Now Trump can take the gloves off and release the unredacted FISA warrant, Page/Strzok texts, and the Ohr-Steele 302s. Trump knows what is in these documents.

Next comes several versions of the “leaked report”. One of which might even be the real one.

That's not going to be the case. (Though I wish it was so).

Mueller and democrats won't and can't allow the Mueller investigation to end.

They can't let it end because, once it's over, the investigations into the DNC/Hillary/Obama/Obama-administration/DOJ-FBI, would likely get started.

Up to now, the democrats and Mueller have held back Trump and his DOJ from conducting any REAL investigations into how a phony anti-Trump dossier was allowed to be the source that launched the Mueller investigation into the fabricated Trump/Russia collusion. It Trump and his administration had launched investigations into the phony dossier and who paid and produced it, he (Trump) would have been accused of obstruction into the Mueller investigation.

Therefore, the Mueller investigation might be extended until after the 2020 elections, and perhaps even longer in order to keep Trump off-balance. Once Mueller is done, if ever, democrats would want more investigations launched, and we already know how cowardly republicans have been with accommodating democrats.

Whitaker "thinks" the investigation is close to being completed. He doesn't know it is close to being completed.

Whitaker "hopes" we get the report "as soon as...as soon as possible", which means he doesn't know when.

Whitaker says absolutely nothing.
