Daily Caller ^ | 12/28/2018 | Democratic Sen. Maggie Hassan Supports ‘Strategic Fencing’

Posted on 01/28/2019 1:27:45 PM PST by ding_dong_daddy_from_dumas

Hassan is just the latest Democrat to express an appetite for deal-making with President Donald Trump, perhaps exposing cracks in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s control over her party members. House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer also recently echoed the need for some kind of physical barrier on the U.S.-Mexico border.

Could Dems and RINOs write a bill that contained wall funding but was such a sellout on amnesty that it's worse than what we have? Yes they could. Could they make press releases saying they support a wall and then do a 180? That too. But maybe they are facing the reality that voters support wall funding. Let's hope.

No, no, I’m sure I heard Dana Perino say that Trump and his Wall were losing support and that’s why he decided to reopen the Government! (I WISH it was sarcasm)

Maybe the wall lost support last week, but maybe this week voters are starting to change their minds.

Fencing is for gardens, chickens, front yards no matter how strategic. A wall on the other hand built for the job in a no nonsense, non PC way of calling it a WALL... it is a strong WALL we need on some parts of our Southern Border....!

Pelosi will rue the day she decided her personal and political feelings were more important than her sworn oath to protect this nation and its citizens for harm

I think Dana was wrong in her supposition about the President’s reason for opening the government again....he really cares about America’s workers...not his popularity...Dana has been listening to too much fake news...our President knows when to blink and when to wink...listen to only those who have a record of being factual....keep the faith all ya’ll!

Rats will support any kind of "border security" that won't actually secure the border.

A line of strategic mine fields and east west heavy weapons firing ranges would work better. BUT, if this wimpola wants a fence fine but we get to electrify it.

Fencing is for gardens...

Exactly right. The concept of "strategic fencing" is laughable. It is nothing but more snowflake talk.

Even if intended to refer to a wall, one can argue that a "strategic wall" is complete from A to Z with no interruptions. Gaps will simply serve to reduce the structure to a "series of monuments". Gaps for whatever reason must be covered with effective apprehension and a policy of immediate return.

The fact we are being required to negotiate the terms of just how we "repel boarders" for national security purposes is disconcerting.

When a Democrat supports “Strategic Fencing” does that mean it’s the kind that is easy to clime over?

Hassan is just the latest Democrat to express an appetite for deal-making with President Donald Trump, perhaps exposing cracks in House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s control over her party members...apparently Delaware 'rat senator Coons has expressed some openness to a wall in the right places, as did my new 'rat representative Van Drew on TV last weekend - there definitely cracks showing up......

Could be. The same can happen with RINOs. That’s one reason we don’t want to pass legislation in a hurry, and Trump should have a veto pen ready.

The history of all this crap is the RINOs want cheap labor and the Dems want votes.
