Kamala Harris draws bigger crowd than Obama for launch of White House bid

Could Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., be generating more early buzz than former President Barack Obama did more than 10 years ago?

If attendance is any indicator, the answer could be yes.

The California senator officially entered the 2020 fray on Sunday with a speech outside Oakland City Hall. Ian Sams, Harris' press secretary, tweeted that more than 20,000 people showed up to see the event.

Compare that to February 2007, when then-Illinois Sen. Obama announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination in Springfield, Ill. Braving freezing-cold conditions outside the Old State Capitol, somewhere between 15,000 and 17,000 people showed up for his speech officially marking the beginning of his campaign.

And not only that, she is part Indian (east Indian).

The Indians in this country tend strongly to the left and they are extremely clannish.

They will turn out in droves to vote for the first Indian president.

I believe that the Democrat party has the bit in its teeth and it is runaway.

The party is not making rational decisions, the party is not responsive to logic, the party is out of control. The Democrat party is essentially unchecked in today's climate in America. The professional party is concerned about money and maintaining their power against insurgent forces. The insurgent forces are obsessed with race although many insurgents talk about socialism. The professional party, whether true believers or not, are only to eager to exploit race to maintain power over the base insurgents and, of course, over Republicans. The party is thoroughly dysfunctional because of its obsession with race which gives it carte blanche to excess in the media, witness Covington. It will not be in a mood to favor white men candidates so they can make war over country clubs.

If it had to be ascribed to only one cause, for reasons that I have been pondering for a long time, the whole energy of the Democrat party right centers on a very dangerous obsession with race!

Not that I’m pro-Obama, but Oakland is a large city in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the country. Not to mention the weather in Oakland in January is usually pleasant. Springfield, IL has none of these advantages in terms of getting a crowd to show. To compare crowd sizes is ridiculous.
