Turkish army yesterday hit YPG targets in northern Syria, neutralizing many militants, state-run Anadolu Agency said in a report based on local sources. Turkish howitzer hit YPG positions in Azaz and Mare districts, the agency said.
Separately, a Free Syrian Army (FSA) member was killed, and three others injured in a clash with YPG late on Jan. 26, the agency said.
The Turkish military also struck YPG target in Syrias Tal Rifat over the past three days.
Tal Rifaat is some 20 kilometers west of Afrin, which has been under the control of Turkey and its Free Syrian Army allies since an operation last year aimed at driving out the YPG.
Ankara considers the YPG as a terrorist organization due to its links with the PKK, which is listed a terror group by Turkey, the United States, and the European Union.
Meanwhile President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on Jan. 26 that millions of Syrians living in Turkey will be able to return to their homeland after Ankara liberates Syrias Manbij, Tal Rifaat and the region east of the Euphrates from militants.
We are determined to save our region from disaster in cooperation with Russia, Iran, the U.S. and especially with Syrian people, Erdoğan said at the ruling Justice and Development Partys (AKP) presentation of mayoral candidates for the southeastern Gaziantep province.
Erdoğan added that Turkey has completed all preparation for a possible military operation east of the Euphrates in northern Syria which Ankara said would serve territorial integrity in the war-torn country.
Some 300,000 Syrians have returned to their homeland, after our operations cleared the area off terrorists, Erdoğan also said, noting that Turkey neutralized 3,000 members ISIL in Syrias al-Bab alone.

ALL lies and propaganda. I never expected any other action by Turkey. Erdogan is bent on Neo Ottoman invasion of the entire Region.
And are they still NATO?
Interesting to see what happens if a NATO partner attacks another NATO partners

~200 trucks carrying supplies/equipment from the Coalition to SDF in #Rojava.

I cannot tell you what that means, but I know the Twitter account that sent that, they are accurate.
This is their backup account, their normal was shut down by Twitter.
Muslims have been killing the Kafir since the 7th Century.
Past is prologue.
This is area is part of Barry’s Levant.
Doubt it is in Afrin!
Probably some of this:

Significant that our convoys are so seldom bothered. Shows SDF and their allies have control of the areas. IOW: no ‘Arab resistance’.
Erdogan didn’t get what he wanted from his meeting with Putin this week and isn’t willing to accept what all those parties involved have said....that the Syrian Army should control the area Erdogan covets so much.
So he ‘s gone ahead to do his own thing as he usually does anyway....because he can.
Looks like part of the deal to get Putin to refuse Erdogan included Trump lifting sanctions on firms ‘once’ linked to Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska (which are Rusal, En+ Group and JSC EuroSibEnergo) Deripaska no longer controls these though so it’s really funny watching the Dems and media jumping on this as Putin controlling Trump. They are so out of touch with reality!
Despots and Dictators arent unique to the Middle East, but they certainly have more than their share.

Despots and dictators are compatible with Islam - all other forms of governance are not.
Agree.
Yes, they are out of touch with reality. But also are gaming everything to avoid going to jail for their crimes.
Hope that is at the stage some will go anyway.
It is virtually impossible to keep up with who is who in the whole debacle. No wonder Trump wants out
He can? Maybe.
The missing part is air power. If someone closes the air space with technology or gives air support, Turkey may not be nearly as effective as he projects.
Quite frankly, he could lose.
Lots of people with grudge to settle with the Dog.
No, it is not in Efrin (Afrin). It is in NE Syria.
The SDF (largely the Kurds plus their allies) are certainly pro the West.
They also know we have the ability to take out anyone in the Region if we chose to.
They would love for US to take out Turkey. We are waiting to see if Erdogan has a financial melt down. He is long overdue.
Looks like he is trying to wag the dog to prevent it. Could bite him in the A.
“Barrys Levant”
Headshake. What a stupid vile B.
It is complex.
None of this is a surprise to our military or President Trump.
