I’m too far away, but hopefully he will have many vets there.
if you are in the area let us know how it turns out- thanks
Killeen is just outside the gates of Ft. Hood. Today’s Army is a different Army than I served in but I still bet there are some there who understand. I know if I were a unit commander that I’d figure out a way to send at least a squad to the cemetery, full dress uniform. For that matter, the post commander may have a standing Honor Guard at his disposal.
Ping.
Do you have a Texas ping list? :-)
I hope people will go. Im too far away, but theres got to be people there who will go...a VFW post could start this.
I imagine this fine Vet will have a great turn out.
Praying so.
If I were anywhere near Killeen, I would certainly attend.
RIP dear Airman.
I’ll be there.
Good bet that a USAF honor guard will be present. Service matters.
RIP

All they have to do is contact the VFW and their honor guard will be there along with Post veterans.

Joe Walker, USAF, RIP.
Not the test pilot that died in a mid-air crash years ago, but a man who served our country.
Seeing the name reminded me of the terrible accident.
Both Joe Walkers, RIP.
Bet some vets on bikes show up...wish I was able to go.
You may find this interesting.
He died on November 19th, 2018, Visitation was on December 7, 2018. Burial was scheduled for Monday, December 10th, 2018. That obviously did not happen. I’ve heard of cases where bodies have been in cold storage for over a year in some cases. Headshake.
