H-1B: Oracle favored hiring foreign graduates of U.S. colleges over American grads, feds allege

Not only did Redwood City software titan Oracle favor hiring Asians for key departments, it favored non-citizen Asian graduates of U.S. colleges over American graduates, the federal government claimed in a lawsuit.

The Department of Labor alleges in its suit against Oracle that a “vast majority” of the firm’s hires through its college recruiting program were non-citizen visa holders from Asia.

Of about 500 recent college and university graduates hired into three job categories at Oracle from 2013 to 2016, some 90 percent were Asian, the filing said.

And who was the President of the United States during this period of time? There are 300,000 East Asians living in the Bay Area now. They 99% vote Democrat as family reunification through chain migration is their one political issue.

H-1B says you should NOT get a College computer software degree.

Code program WITHOUT a degree. A degree is high risk.

H-1B paperwork makes computer college degrees worthless.
Do not do it.

That's unfortunate if true. East Asians are a natural fit for the Republican Party: traditional family values, good work ethic, dependence on self rather than government, fairness based on merit.

We need to do a better job of helping them see that politically, the Democrats are bad news for them.

On the race and victim scale, East Asians rank very low, just above Whites. In some cases, college admissions for example, they rank lower.

Luckily, some East Asians are waking up to the deception of the Dems. They are good to have on our side.

I bet if we look at upper management in the HR department it will be stacked with Asians. They like to take care of their own.

“East Asians are a natural fit for the Republican Party: traditional family values, good work ethic, dependence on self rather than government, fairness based on merit.”

These values tend to get obliterated over time and especially as newer generations are born in the country. I’ve even seen children of refugees of South Vietnam turn into Berniebros and Clintonistas.

Question to House Democrats: Were the high-paid tech staff they hired----the Awans and their family and friends now suspected of being foreign spies ------H-1B tech workers? So many of the 650,000 "temporary" foreign guest workers Obama imported into America under that program, predominantly work in IT.

And if they're not H-1Bs, how exactly did Awan and company get here, when did they get here, and who brought them over here and why? Given that these foreign IT workers now under investigation were paid for with our tax dollars, Americans deserve to know their path to the public trough.

This is especially true when so many members of Congress in both parties continue to clamor for expanding foreign guest-worker programs like H-1B and refuse to enact freezes on corrupted visa programs exploited by foreign tourists (B visas), students (F-1 visas) and workers (H visas) acting in bad faith.

Moreover, laid off US tech workers have grown increasingly vocal about being forced to train underqualified, shoddily vetted foreign replacements before getting pink-slipped -- and increasingly alarmed at their access to sensitive personal, financial and health data.

BACKSTORY Imran Awan first landed a job with former Democrat Rep. Robert Wexler as an "information technology director" in 2004 at the ripe age of 24 or 25. His younger brother, Jamal, is reportedly only 23 years old, yet has pulled in a salary of nearly $160,000 a year since 2014 (when he was 20!) as an information technology worker for Democrat Rep. Julia Brownley. That's 3.1 times greater than the median salary for a House IT worker, according to InsideGov.

Who sponsored these young foreign techies and chose them to do work in our nation's capital doing a job that countless young Americans are qualified to do?

If not H-1B, did they arrive first as students on foreign visas (who are supposed to return home after their course of study), then game the system to work through the cheap-labor loopholes, such as the Optional Practical Training program? Or did they switch visa categories? Did they pull strings through their well-connected Democratic employers?

ASK CONG CASTRO The communications official in Rep. Castro's office, which employed Imran's brother, Jamal, responded that she would "touch base with some colleagues" and keep me posted. No word since. The others didn't bother to answer at all, nor did they respond when I followed up last week.

As for defiant Democrat Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, who only fired Awan after his arrest, it's apparently un-American to question how foreign criminal suspects got to America and stayed here. Schultz last week cited "racial and ethnic profiling concerns that I had" to deflect from her eyebrow-raising handling of the matter, which now involves smashed hard drives seized from Awan's home by the FBI.

Sen. Charles Grassley has asked DHS for all immigration summaries and detainers for Imran Awan, wife Hina Alvi, brothers Jamal and Abid Awan, and friends/associates Natalia Sova and Rao Abbas. But it shouldn't take a Senate demand letter to penetrate the Dems' partisan protectionism. We paid the salaries of their suspect foreign IT minions.

They answer to us.

Trump needs to reverse himself and kill H1B and related visa programs as these are only abused to hire foreigners over Americans.

There is a reason for this. Check out the 10th math exam that all 10th graders have to pass. If you don’t pass the exam, you get put into a vocational track for the 11th and 12th grades.

We need to do a better job of helping them see that politically, the Democrats are bad news for them.

That would require an actual attempt to engage them. Democrats are very good at patting them on the head and handing out token posts to their "community leaders" (who are usually the most corrupt and lazy examples who have time to spend their whole days on politics - the engineer types don't have time.)

Republicans simply ignore them, and thereby do nothing to refute the Democrats' casual slanders that whites are all secret KKK members and it is unsafe for Asians to venture out of their enclaves for fear of being beaten or killed by nativist Trump supporters.

The Feds filed a lawsuit? That’s a first.

Have they ever done that when blacks/browns/women are hired over the white man?

I didn’t think so. Asians (orientals) are essentially treated the same as whites in fascist America.

IT’S ABOUT TIME!

May be one of the few times I am on same side of a Federal Lawsuit.

Maybe they are the most blatant, but it is interesting that no other firms named...I suspect they are not the only company who has done this.

Having worked at GE for years, I can testify to the substantial increase in their hiring and replacing of American workers with those mainly from India on this visa program. They hide the layoff of American workers by laying off 50 here, 115 there and within a few months or weeks, there are contractors from India in their place. The media isn't aware of the large number as GE lays off small numbers at a time and no one pays attention.

I have seen it increased greatly over the last few years and while I am at it, I don't see local restaurants handing out meals to those employees who lost their GE jobs or to the coal industry men laid off under Obama! I watch for the businesses who offer free groceries and meals to the FURLOUGHED government employees and I will never go back to them!
