For the people at Davos, the term “climate change action” means trillions of dollars moving from one group to another. They are all for making that action happen and figuring out how to get a piece of it. They don’t care one bit about “climate change” - only about legislation that can result in some of the “action” ending up in their bank account.
A few years ago Warren Buffett said (paraphrased) “my shareholders could sue me for fiscal malfeasance if I DID NOT build wind farms. It’s $400 million in profit from government subsidies even if they never generate energy”. That’s what the people in Davos are hoping for.
