The Drudge Report blasted out its breaking news siren on Friday, reporting that an agreement has been reached to end the government shutdown.
Matt Drudge‘s high-trafficked news aggregator reported that according to a source, a shutdown agreement has been reached, and that an announcement is set for 1 p.m.
“SOURCE: SHUTDOWN AGREEMENT REACHED,” the Drudge headline blared. “ANNOUNCEMENT SET FOR 1 PM.”
“GOVT TO REOPEN ‘TEMPORARILY’,” it added.
The nearly six-week government shutdown appeared set to continue after two measures to reopen the government — one that would fund President Donald Trump’s border wall, and one did not — failed in the Senate on Friday.
CBS News reported shortly after that Trump is “expected to announce Friday he’ll back a move to reopen the government for a few weeks” at the White House.
CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett reported that Trump is expected to support a continuing resolution that would reopen the government “for a few weeks,” while the debate over a border wall continues.

How many people know that there have been 3 bills? The media isn’t touting that. Trump & Republicans should be out there saying that - Trump should be Tweeting it, the Comm’s team should have videos of their no votes circulating on social media, all the Republicans should be on message. Very frustrating.
Watching the news reporters speculate is nauseating as they have no clue what the real end game is.
I just hope they at least use water cannons on the rioting animals if they do go Berserk

Winner winner chicken dinner. Now...everyone will come on and say "he's got a plan." Well, unless his plan is to immediately declare a national emergency because the Democrats refused to even meet him halfway during that three weeks...this is a fail.
