The Drudge Report blasted out its breaking news siren on Friday, reporting that an agreement has been reached to end the government shutdown.
Matt Drudge‘s high-trafficked news aggregator reported that according to a source, a shutdown agreement has been reached, and that an announcement is set for 1 p.m.
“SOURCE: SHUTDOWN AGREEMENT REACHED,” the Drudge headline blared. “ANNOUNCEMENT SET FOR 1 PM.”
“GOVT TO REOPEN ‘TEMPORARILY’,” it added.
The nearly six-week government shutdown appeared set to continue after two measures to reopen the government — one that would fund President Donald Trump’s border wall, and one did not — failed in the Senate on Friday.
CBS News reported shortly after that Trump is “expected to announce Friday he’ll back a move to reopen the government for a few weeks” at the White House.
CBS News chief Washington correspondent Major Garrett reported that Trump is expected to support a continuing resolution that would reopen the government “for a few weeks,” while the debate over a border wall continues.

The president is not the problem. We have a GOP Congress that is filled with closet Dems, traitors and puppets to the Deep State. This s**t should have been taken care of the last two years when they had control of both chambers but it wasn’t. It’s time to tell the president to abandon the GOP and go independent. I left the Democrat Party to join the GOP. I’m only sticking with them until Trump leaves office, and then I’ll go independent for good!

He is discovering what it is like to deal as one man against the entire government establishment and government class. All parties in D.C. are against him and for themselves. It going to be up to the people rising up against the society.
Personally, I’d like to see D.C. razed and the earth salted there so nothing could ever grow back up...but this effort, electing a president to change an establishment is over. Unless the military is willing to help him take over I don’t know what beyond 50 million rising up that’s going to change anything (the funny thing is we always called the FBI/DOJ and Establishment effort a coup against Trump, when all along we needed a coup against THEM, they have ALL the power!).
I suspect I’m through voting...indeed, it serves no purpose but to put another target on your back. When someone organizes an army, i’ll Be there.

Probably true...people need to be starving, and even then it doesn’t always work. Nevertheless, time to check out of political activism, this society is heading down, probably eventually end up every man for himself.

If they have the votes to override his veto (which is what this means), they likely have the votes to impeach and convict if he goes rogue too. He’s boxed in and has NO power now. Nancy and Chuck rule with complete authority. He’s a figurehead only for as long as they allow it.
