I would have agreed with you in the past, given the weak GOP presidents we’ve endured. They always came across as weak in their SOTU addresses because they WERE weak.
Trump is not. He comes across as a strong leader. He’s a great speaker. He needs to do this in person.

The point is that Nancy doesn’t want Trump to have the stage because Trump is fantastic under the lights. No Trump needs to give a televised address to the country.
Not this year, its too important to have the President outline the promises he made before, the achievements made to date, whats being worked on now, and the plans moving forward --- with 50 million viewers.
The only problem with that is that he does not get to include and engage the American people who are clamoring to hear him speak. At least, the ones with brains.

That’s a terrible idea. SOTU is the one time POTUS has a chance to speak to the American people unfiltered by the Demofascist MSM. They totally censored his speech last weekend. Didn’t even broadcast it.
