House Speaker Nancy Pelosi Blocks President Trump Entry into Capitol Building – Confirms State of Union Speech Cancellation…
It looks like Speaker of The House Nancy Pelosi has no intention of allowing the House chamber to be used for a State of the Union address.
Speaker Pelosi has informed the House Sergeant at Arms that no executive branch official will be permitted entry into the Capitol building.
Earlier Fox News reported Pelosi cancelled a walkthrough last week, and a second request for reconsideration from the White House is expected to meet the same fate. The House Speaker controls who is, and who is not, permitted entry to the House floor. Until Speaker Pelosi calls for a vote to support a joint session of congress, the President cannot enter the chamber.
Deputy White House Press Secretary Hogan Gidley discusses the status of the current shutdown negotiations and the likelihood a SOU address will have to take place outside Washington DC.
Just give away tickets to visit stadiums across the country and watch the SOTU on the Jumbo Tron. After the SOTU, have a rally.
Imagine stadiums across the country filled with Trump supporters watching his SOTU and 2020 pep rally.
He can invite the Senate, House Republicans, the Supreme Court (leaving a seat open for RBG) and not invite any House Democrats (or their guests).
But he doesn't need my advice. He's the first President who is a World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Famer and successful reality TV star. I'm sure he knows what he's going to do, and whatever it is, it won't make Pelosi look good.

There is practically a wall around the entire capitol building. Where there is vehicle or pedestrian access, there are also armed guards. PDJT can really make something of this if he so chooses.

The Senate won’t hold the full House of Representatives. So Dems will be standing if they decide to come. Republicans will also mostly be standing.

I hope this sets a precedent and future Congresses continue to refuse to invite future Presidents, so that we can be done with this silly speech from the throne once and for all.
No, not normally. Capitol Police protect Congress. They have jurisdiction everywhere under US control and do not answer to the Executive Branch.
The White House sometimes has assigned SS protection to Congressmen or other high-profile figures on a temporary basis, such as when the become serious candidates for president or when specifically threatened.
