The Washington Post has had to issue yet another retraction after falsely claiming that far-left Native American activist Nathan Phillips served in the Vietnam War. He didnt but this lie was previously used to help raise money for a documentary about his life.
On Monday, the Washington Post quietly issued a correction to their story about the activist, saying that while he served in the Marines, he was never deployed to Vietnam.
Correction: Earlier versions of this story incorrectly said that Native American activist Nathan Phillips fought in the Vietnam War. Phillips served in the U.S. Marines from 1972 to 1976 but was never deployed to Vietnam, the correction reads.

I bet you are correct.
The more we find out about this liar the more dirt we find.
I have hard time believing he was a Recon Marine.
Blumenthal’s first name if Richard and he calls himself “Dick”. A perfect name describing the head of an abject public liar.
Egggzellent !
Darn Jim Holt beat me to it!
Raising money through fraud? Sounds like a crime.
He clearly says Vietnam vet in a couple interviews. Implied he was an alcoholic as a result of his experience.
John Kerry
Richard Blumenthal
Liz Warren
Rachel Dolezal
Nathan Phillips
Anyone see a pattern here?
...or worse, fake Indian Ward Churchill who called 9/11 victims “little Eichmann’s.” The Sioux dubbed him ‘Walking Eagle,’ because he was so full of sh*t he couldn’t fly.
Ha! My laugh of the day. Thanks !
I can see. I can See. Praise Jesus!!!!!!! Praise!!!!
And in virtually every news article since 2000.
A cheap f-in liar raising money on his lies about the valor shown by others. Fits right in with the congressional Democrats and the Clintons.
I have hard time believing he was a Recon Marine.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Well, would you believe he was a “Recon Ranger”?
How about a “Power Ranger”?
Forest Ranger?
Okay . . . Fake Ranger?
When Phillips first started his BS scam, he couldn’t be fact-checked so easily. Thanks to technology and social media, it seems his past may just catch up with him.
he is actualy to young to have served in Vietnam by 3 month..last Vietnam vet left the country in march 1972 Nathan Phillips birth date is February 1954. witch would of made him 18 years old and still going through Basic training when the Vietnam war ended at the earliest.
“I was in Sang Bang, Dang Gong. I was all over the place, a lot of places.”
“What unit?”
“I was with the Green Berets, Special Unit Battalions... Commando Airborne Tactics... Specialist Tactics Unit Battalion. Yeah, it was real hush hush. I was Agent Orange, Special Agent Orange, that was me.”
He raised money in 2012 pretending to be a Vietnam Vet.
This lying a-hole got his 15 minutes of fame basically imitating Will Ferrell in the More Cowbell bit.
It was a documentary the filmmaker raised money for. Phillips didnt pocket that cash - that we know of.
