Trump to put 'game changer' pressure on Cuba, says Mario Diaz-Balart.......

“This is a very, very big deal,” the Florida Republican and Cuban-American said...“I think really good things are coming from this. And so, you can't minimize the impact.....

”President Trump is getting ready to place an unprecedented amount of economic pressure on Cuba’s communism regime and some of the non-U.S. companies that have invested there, according to a leading Republican lawmaker.

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has signaled that Americans who decades ago had property stolen by Fidel Castro’s regime and sold to other foreign companies may soon be able to sue those companies to recoup their losses. That will intensify financial pressure on the island government, according to Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart, and have ripple effects for authoritarian states around the world.

"A lot of the atrocities committed by the Maduro regime are committed by Cubans sent there by the Castro regime,” Diaz-Balart told the Washington Examiner. “The Castro regime is very fragile, at best. The Venezuelan money is drying up, and I think you're going to have a lot of companies that — if they knew that they could get sued for trafficking in stolen properties, I think they're going to look elsewhere to invest. And so, I think that's a really important factor."

If only Cuber were to set up a ‘57 Cheby Assembly Plant, they would become economically viable...

Oh come on now, if you just discovered your grandparents’ valuable properties had been stolen and now there was the possibility of the property or the monetary value of the property could be recovered, wouldn’t you be interested? What makes you think the children and grandchildren of these cheated Cubans would be likewise interested?

Just realized that this is in part due to America flooding the market with energy... two for one deal — sink Venezuela and Cuba is a freebie. Ya, baby!

Another example of the Trump doctrine of winning on the cheap - choke off our enemies incomes, rather than spend ours opposing them militarily.

China, Iran, Venezuela, North Korea, Cuba - all being taken down or reined in through economic measures.

Beautiful graphic. My Dad purchased a new Nomad Station Wagon of that series from when I was a baby (1957) until I graduated from high school (1973). We knew no other car until we got a second car to share with all the drivers in our family. I think it was on maybe its third engine.

Dad sold it to a young man for $75 who restored it from stem to stern. I remember when that young man brought it by the house to show us what he'd done . . . that fellow was good!

I found it interesting the the Nomad actually is a different body from the other 2 Door Station Wagons.

Amazing as to all of the ‘57 body styles available. Not so many these days.

Multiply by all of the engines/transmissions/axles to get to true complexity.

Interesting.

The Nomad seems to have a unique front door, among other unique body elements.

One of my friends talks about his grandfather’s stolen rum factory. Castro burned his grandfather alive for not submitting. Grandma took the kids and all she had and cane here.
These are the most anti socialists folks i have ever seen.. however, they hate anything to do with stopping illegal immigration.
