One of the comments on YouTube says the high school students were there for the March for Life. Which means they where there in a group, in a designated area, for the march.
The students were holding their ground. They were not approaching Phillips and his group. Pillips approach them, banged his drum and chanted at them, and they returned the responded by chanting back at him. The students obviously saw they were being recorded, too.
On the video it was Phillips who was almost touching a student with his drum, who was blinking because of the drum sticks in his face. Then Philips gets his YouTube video up first.
So who was really being disrespectful and confrontational?
What kind of tribal elder gets confrontational with high school students and acts like he's the victim?
Sometimes our side acts badly, too. I think those guys were making fun of the chant. That’s my impression.
If that's true it changes my opinion.
If these young men were on the sidelines and these NAs deliberately made their way into the group of boys the NAs were the ones provoking a reaction.
You are correct. Watch the video, and think about where people are in relation to the camera, and how people are moving in relation to the camera, including the cameraman. Philips and his group are slowly inching forward into the students, and the students were standing in place. At 0:43 seconds look at the student in the gray jacket in the middle of the frame, and where he is in relation to the camera. Then look at 0:58. Philips is banging his drum stick in that student’s face, and that student did not move from where he was at 0:43.

a couple of kids were giving a tomahawk chop at about the :25 mark
and the creepy kid standing stiff as board just staring and smilin...
I guessing the kids were just making noise without knowing what they were doing...
What...were they upset that the teenage boys didn’t show enough ‘gravity’ or ‘respect’?
Seemed like the white woman with the nose ring was upset at that. I didn’t see any taunting there, but leftists see a wide variety of things as “taunting” including scratching your cheek and looking around disinterestedly.

I don’t think the event itself is staged. I think the old dude was upset at the MAGA hats, they young guys knew he didn’t like it and they stood their ground and didn’t bend the knee.
I’ve seen what unruly liberal kids do, living on the outskirts of Seattlestan. This is nothing in comparison to the disrespect I’ve seen this age group dish out to “authority” figures who plead with them to behave.
It’s a nothingburger designed to gin up outrage from the same folks who who want to respect our elders via death panels and allowing the flood of MS13 gangsters to continue to prey on the elderly.

The elder is a Vietnam veteran as am I...I think the actions of the teens reminded him of the treatment we received returning from Vietnam...That’s my opinion...
Reading up on this event, it looks like it never happened.

So everywhere Phillips goes, he gets harassed by white racists? Kinda makes you go, "Hmm..."
I saw nothing in the video that showed him being harassed.
Anyhow, it appears that ole' chief here is a fake hate crime hoaxer.
