I don’t often criticize the President, but he’s totally off base here. Everyone is blaming him for Gov’t employees not getting checks. He should have asked the RATs for $$$ to pay employees (no additional $ for projects, etc) just $$$ to pay employees - if the RATS say no, it’s on them if they don’t get paid.

It’s time for republicans to take this issue away from democrats, do a DACA deal like Trump wants, then keep reminding those people who did this for you? Who created a strong economy with good jobs for you?? Not the democrats! Trump’s approval is already shifting significantly up in that demographic.

It looks to me that PDJT is playing this a lot like Lincoln played the emancipation/slavery thing during the Civil War. He knew the southern leadership would accept no reasonable compromise and, accordingly, sent up a lot of ostensibly generous trial balloons that concealed his absolute determination to end slavery. His purpose was not to have any of those proposals accepted, but to make the southerners look like total bloody fools for not accepting them. Once his proposals were rejected, he had a green light to move on full emancipation, something he wouldn’t have had if the south had accepted his more moderate proposals.
Daca Amnesty will kill the base and turn the country Democrat by 2020 .

Frankly, I never believed the dreamers were ever going to go anywhere. It is a very sensitive and sentimental issue. Many American kids grew up with them in their communitiesi church, schools, etc. Forcing them out would have been political suicide and as long as they are thoroughly vetted, I don’t care. In fact, if this is Trumps deal today and Pelosi doesnt take it, it will be a massive WIN for Trump.

Florida is turning blue in national elections, it has been trending that way for some time. The fact that DeSantis squeaked in when he should have had a landslide tells us a lot.
VA & NC are also unquestionably moving in that direction. VA is already lost & NC will go too. Both are full of illegals and Raleigh is full of non assimilating immigrants.
