'the president would agree to a sweeping deal to protect young people who were brought to this country without authorization at ages when they had no say over what happened to them.'

the great citizens of these united states are all 'dreamers', for which many will never receive the benefits and advantages these illegals already have...
NO ! NO ! NEVER !
1. The price in return has to be very high (like $25B for the wall and major changes to our chain immigration and asylum laws).
2. The DACA immigrants have to be given a path that leads to permanent residency status, not citizenship.
Well, most of those ‘dreamers’ are in their twenties now, I think. So, if one doesn’t have a criminal record and has a high school diploma... then put them on a pathway to citizenship. That probably means less than half will qualify.
700,000 has already morphed into 1.8 million, by the time they get finished we’ll have amnestied all 30 million.
Trump has been saying over and over there can be no DACA until the SCOTUS decision on it. Doesn’t anyone pay attention?
Well put.
Fact is that no one wants a “comprehensive” immigration reform but us and Trump.
The establishment wants confusion and fear.
Maybe scotus is going to wait too long.
How then will you deport their parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc.?
$25B isn’t ‘high’ - that one time cost amounts to a small percentage of the hundreds of billions illegals cost the citizens *ANNUALLY*
NO. DACA.
Most of these DACA are now in their 30’s..they are NO longer children..now President Trump did say a few years ago he was fine with allowing 2 million of these “Dreamers” citizenship, but the Dems refused it..if they refused it then, and no wall was even mentioned..they will NOT go for it now..Dems want open borders, for future Dem voters, that simple
Didn’t he offer this a long time ago, and the Dems said no deal?
If he can do a deal that includes no chain migration associated with any of them, and if he can deport the criminals and just keep the good ones (that we have already paid blood money to educate in our poorer neighborhoods), sure.
That’s a good starting point. I also wouldn’t want to see a blanket path to citizenship. Anyone with any criminal activity in their background must not have a path to citizenship. There must also be a price to pay to get on the path. $500 a head sounds right.
u.s. citizens being the only persons permitted to vote should’ve been tackled (enforced) already - it’s sickening this is still even remotely an issue within this nation...
The DMN is a dying paper. You should see how thin it is now. They chose far left Trump hatred over objectivity and have paid the price.
No deal unless “Birthright Citizenship” is ended and citizenship is dependent upon one’s parents being American citizens, plus an end to chain migration and family unification (in which one applicant sponsors an entire village of supposed relatives).
I rewatched “Godfather — Part II a few nights ago. The old Ellis Island system of screening emigrants for disease and intelligence seemed preferable to today’s anything goes system. No welfare benefits for immigrants were permitted back in the day.
who is to say that when a demon rat gets to be president he orders the wall to be torn down
