Sen. Chase wears handgun to podium to present bills in committee

It’s not just her bills that are sparking attention. State Sen. Amanda Chase, R-Chesterfield, generated buzz on Tuesday by presenting them while wearing her .38-caliber revolver in a custom-made holster.

The first-term senator — a fan of government transparency and opponent of the Equal Rights Amendment — said she wore the gun following an incident Monday in which Capitol Police were called after immigration-rights supporters confronted Sen. Dick Black, R-Loudoun.

Chase said she always carries her gun in concealed fashion but decided Tuesday was a good day to carry openly when she presented her bills in the Senate Privileges and Elections Committee.

State (Virginia) Building

Prohibited places include courthouses, air carrier terminals, schools, Capitol and General Assembly buildings (open carrying only, members of the General Assembly and those with a valid CHP are permitted in the Capitol General Assembly buildings),

Citizens with a CHP may carry in the Capitol, but no pocket knives. Most state buildings under the authority of the executive, such as DMV and the state liquor stores are weapons-free zones, thanks to former .governor Terry McAwful, and his Dim successor, Northam.

If NOVA is not broken away from, ALL of Virginia will quickly become subjects to the no moral boundaries, anti-American, socialist, tyranny NOVA intends to create.

Unless we shrink Fedzilla considerably AND deport all the illegal aliens, I am afraid the Commonwealth is lost.

I am planning my escape.

We are trying to hold on to our 2nd ammendment rights in Virginia. With a slim majority theVA Senate just effectively blocked a bunch of anti-gun bills from our Dem Governor.
