Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s office on Friday issued a rare statement disputing a bombshell news report claiming President Trump directed Michael Cohen to lie about the timing of discussions over a proposed Trump Tower project in Moscow.
“BuzzFeed’s description of specific statements to the Special Counsel’s Office, and characterization of documents and testimony obtained by this office, regarding Michael Cohen’s Congressional testimony are not accurate,” Peter Carr, a spokesman for Mueller’s office, said Friday.

I would expect Buzzfeed to do nothing but stand by their story. They could do the honorable thing, but noooooo.
Of course..at first I was like “WTF is Trump thinking having someone as AG who is buddy buddy with MUELLER of all people” but then you have to think of it logically..MAYBE just MAYBE its because he knows he has absolutely NOTHING to worry about..heck even Tucker Carlson just said that this morning, first thing when he woke up, he called some of his contacts who have connections to the White House and he asked them “Is anyone over there worried right now” and the person said “No, not at the slightest” and Tucker said “Are you sure, not even a little worried” and the person said “NO” I told you all from the beginning when this bogus “Story” broke..President Trump is NOT acting like someone who is worried about being impeached, if he’s putting us on he’s a damn good actor
Because they HATE Trump’s guts..they want him dead and his children dead..they will NEVER EVER EVER get over the fact that WE the people elected him and NOT their messiah Hillary
Tonight on his radio show Mark Levin was calling for the new AG to investigate Mueller leaks and then Mueller came out and said the Buzzfeed story is false. Levin feels he did this because he is afraid of lie detector tests being given to his people about this and other leaks coming out of his office. Levin said Mueller let the media froth at the mouth over this story all day long before he finally issued this statement.

My take is that the statement is not so much what I would term “general” but, rather all encompassing. It’s basically saying that Buzzfeeds assertions concerning their evidence, including documentation AND testimony from witnesses corroborating any statemnts made by Cohen concerning being told by Trump to lie to Congress is “inaccurate” or false.
So now the Dems look like even bigger idiots and tomorrow Trump declares border emergency .

I heard Cormier’s interview on NPR this morning.
He was asked if he actually SAW the proof and he replied that he had not. (I may be paraphrasing a bit here.)
I am NOT politically astute but I remember saying to myself “So what’s the big deal?”
Another thing is that I was unfamiliar with Buzzfeed.
Shame on NPR for even interviewing him.

Nobody believed this except for Fox News.
I noted that in the London Daily Mail this morning where this was headlined and attributed to two unnamed federal enforcement agents as though they were the ones who told the Mail this directly. No, it was a false rumor reported from a worthless website with two reporters of past questionable actions. And without doing a lick of fact checking, they reported it as fact.

Or Mueller was trying to ferret out a leaker in his own group. Hahaha, sometimes I crack myself up.
I'm guessing Cohen called Mueller from his hospital bed and begged him to set the record straight.

Maybe there are two factions, Muehler is covering-up the FBI criminal malfeasance, but has given up on removing Trump, but a 2nd faction of political die-harders doesn’t want to give up the impeachment dream.
Thus we get these political leaks that are at cross-purpose with the criminal cover-up.
This lie was specifically tailored for impeachment. If instructing your lawyer to lie to Congress isn’t a high crime and misdemeanor, I don’t know what is.
