The Democratic Partys triumphal romp through suburbia was the big story of the midterms.
In 2016 the suburbs, home to the majority of American voters, voted 50 to 45 for Donald Trump; this year, 52 percent went Democratic. In affluent suburban districts once controlled by the GOPoutside Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, Seattle, Kansas City and Philadelphia, and in Orange County, Californialong-held GOP seats flipped and are unlikely to flip back unless Democrats alienate their new constituents by seeking to destroy suburban life.

Thanks-——Project Hope is trying to spread the Section 8 folks into the suburbs here in Eastern MA.
I’m with you———less rent,better tenants works.
.
“The Democratic Partys triumphal romp through suburbia was...”
...the result of election fraud.
That’s odd. Property owners have to apply to become Section 8 landlords, and even then, aren’t required to rent to Section 8 tenants.
If that garbage is dictated by the politicians here in VA I will no.longer be a landlord.
You are exactly right. The suburbs did not leave Trump. The Dems. flipped those seats illegally.
The question now is, what will the Republicans do about it in 2020? Anything?
I’m in MA,no surprise there. (Sigh)
.
Virginia Democrats will fight for it. They will want Section 8 everywhere, so as to make it easier to commit vote fraud.
As far as what happened here in Georgia, it’s 30 straight years of illegals moving into the burbs.
Yup.
It’s their nature.
The Daily Beadt is a far left publication.
See #20. It's not federal law. States and localities pass laws and regs which prohibit turning down Section 8 applicants, as housing discrimination.
The media is spinning the suburbs flipping. The media are helping the Marxists. History repeats itself, journalists, like in Stalinist Russia and Hitler’s Germany, you got killed. When the Marxists and Socialists win here, guess what, you’d be killed, too.
A lot of suburbs effectively zone against Section 8 with minimum house and lot size requirements, etc.
Obama’s directive was that HUD should start strong arming local governments on the issue. Basically pressure them into allowing new projects into neighborhoods.
Nope. You are required to allow the section 8 inspectors to inspect when vacant and may not ask a tenant if they are section 8.
“-—may not ask a tenant if they are section 8.”
—
Are you allowed to answer honestly if future tenants of other apartments in the building want to know if there are Section 8 tenants living there?
I would certainly want to know if I was seeking an apartment.
.
Democrats destroy everything, yes, and with the consent of the American people, including suburban voters!
Yes, it seems the mentality of the American people is hopeless.
An arrogant fool with huge voter support in TX; TCruz doesn’t yet realize that he was nearly toppled.
Good question. I dont know.
