“I guess the congregation wasn’t properly armed”
Really? Your news source said that?

It might not have happened inside the church, but in the parking lot as I noted an evidence marker outside in the parking lot.

CYPRESS, Texas (KTRK) --
A woman is dead and a second person was injured when gunfire erupted in the parking lot of a Cypress church.
Sheriff's deputies rushed to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church on Huffmeister just after 7 p.m. Thursday amid reports of a shooting.
We do not know whether a suspect is in custody or if deputies know who the shooter is.

Ive got a mens bible study and prayer group that meets on Thursdays. In fact, Im not sure theres a single that one small group or another isnt meeting at our church. And were not that big, so it isnt unusual.

I guess the congregation wasn't properly armed. There is a church school on the property. In some states just that means that you can not be armed.
Not sure if this is the case in Texas.
Also the best armed group can be shot from ambush.

Could be the folks attending meetings were not armed, as they may be during Sunday services.
So sad.
Prayers up.

I had a meeting at our new church for the first time last week on a Tuesday at 7 pm. The lot was 3/4 full! It was just 4 of us in our meeting, but they had a youth night or something playing basketball, and stuff going on in other places. I couldn’t believe how busy it was!
