Republican Senator John Kennedy called Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosis request to move the date of the State of the Union address a tactic that is making things worse.
Kennedy suggested that President Trump should speak before the Senate instead if he is unwelcome in the House.
I think the President ought to go ahead and give the State of the Union as normal, Kennedy said. He can come to the Senate if Mrs. Pelosi doesnt want him to come to the House. I just think that sort of tactic is making things worse.

“Hoyer just said they canceled it.”
hoyer had to walk-back that statement ... no one can “cancel” the state of the union report ... it’s Constitutionally required ... the only issue is where and how it’s given ...
Some presidents have sent provided a written state of the Union rather than a speech. It is not constitutionally mandated that the President make a speech only that he provide a yearly statement of the state of the Union.
They don’t want Trump to move it off Capital Hill.
I wish Trump would.
Someone should tell this Moonbat to stand down since she has exceeded her expiration date.
Speak to a bunch of re-employed stèel workers at a venue in the steel belt.
Make a point of referring to the fact that those workers are every bit as much representative of the American People as the graft ridden congresssmen in Washington.
“Nancy will cave on this...what a stupid move on her part.”
It was already walked back.
May good options now given to President Trump. Even if the House were to invite him after all, do not accept. Go with one of the other options.
May = Many
Someone was reading my mind! The Senate is a brilliant idea and should work. We don’t need any demonrat house members however, maybe a few Republicans....
Then he should emphasize the increase in that number while the Dems. party in Puerto Rico.
I think the president should give the SOU speech to a bunch of his supporters at an open air rally. It would probably have to be Florida. Hold a MAGA rally.
There is not tactical advantage for President Trump to deliver SOTU to the Senate.
But there is no reason the State of the Union address cannot be given in a larger venue with the Judicial branch, The Senate,House Republicans ( the House Dems will boycott), in which the public can attend.
Can you imagine a 65,000 attendance by the public in support of PDJT with the other branches of government in attendance without Pelosi?
A TRUMP rally and State of the Union Address combined ?
Pelosi has unleashed the Trump Kraken!
She will be very, very sorry she did. PDJT gets his wall.
The left loses big league.
Huzzah!
Due to lack of BP agents; this designated border crossing has to rely upon man power to get the ferry across the Rio Grande river by pulling on a ROPE!!!

"Sadly, given the security concerns and unless government re-opens this week, I suggest that we work together to determine another suitable date after government has re-opened for this address or for you to consider delivering your State of the Union address in writing to the Congress on January 29th."
Pelosi wrote in a letter to Trump.
Dang good Idea!!
Here in Indy we have a LARGE football stadium that'll be idle for a while.
I believe Pence was there for a little bit last year.
Lucas Oil Stadium has a seating capacity of 67,000 and it has great TV capability built right in; too!
Kiss Cam can zoom right in on folks wearing their MAGA hats.
Pretty close. I’m giving it 3% to 4%.
Chances of her staying awake through the whole thing?
0%. Maybe 1%.
On January 8, 1790, President George Washington delivered the very first Annual Message to a Joint Session of Congress (now known as the State of the Union address), in the Senate chamber of Federal Hall in New York City.
