Any champion football player disappointed with Mondays dinner at the White House can blame Democrats, according to a presidential spokesman. Clemson Universitys football team on Thursday joined Donald Trump for dinner to celebrate their win over Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship. However, the government shutdown has left much of the White House staff furloughed, forcing the president to set the menu, the spokesperson said. The event created a golden culinary opportunity for a president whose typical evenings reportedly often involve a cheeseburger in front of the TV. On Mondays menu was McDonalds, Wendys and Burger Kings with some pizza, Trump told reporters.

Shrimp and grits for dinner is a wonderful meal
For the record and enlightenment of those who have pitiful lives lacking grits for breakfast, grits are eaten with a generous glob of butter, salt and pepper. It is also ok to add a generous quantity of cheddar cheese whie cooking.
Liberals, never-Trumpers, and Bush-League Republicans. Many of whom like to post on Free Republic...
They’re college boys; they loved it. It was probably ambrosia to them ;-)
And no politics. Works for me.
A Patriots loving friend just sent that to me (I am a long suffering Chief’s fan).
As I told him, Big Red will kill Tom Brady himself for a Quarter Pounder!
What? No Chick-fil-A?
I’m disappointed that this event is being criticized on FR.
As if President Trump doesn’t have enough critics elsewhere.
:)I just read the guys asked for that .It just looks funny at the White House .We went down in flames on Sunday-Eagles.:( Had my dog mask ready and everything-hehehheeh
...I read the article. The attendee team did not make any complaint. You made that up.
I made nothing up. This was all over the internet.
From a Chicago Tribune article the same day.
“I thought it was a joke,” one Clemson player could be overheard saying in a video shared on Twitter.
“I mean you’re not just gonna NOT eat the Big Macs stacked in a pile right?” tweeted Clemson offensive lineman Matt Bockhorst.
OK?
OTOH, Clemsons QB Trevor Lawrence said it was awesome.
Looks more like shrimp over polenta to me.
“At least you hope it was ketchup. :)”
Ketchup has a very distinct odor. I like ketchup I just don’t like ketchup on hamburgers. I like tomato sauce, spaghetti sauce, but on a hamburger I like mustard and a dill pickle - actually three or four slices of dill pickle.
Same same for hotdogs- mustard and maybe ... Just maybe some hot dog relish.
