Rochester, N.Y. (WHAM) - A person of interest is in police custody after Rochester Police were called about a reported firearm in a home Monday morning.
The initial call came in shortly before 7 a.m. about a neighbor who claimed to have seen a shotgun in a home on Farmington Road.

The real news story is that the police actually responded to the call.
Exactly what I was thinking. If there is no more to this story than what is indicated, then we are heading down a very bad path.
Was it under the influence?
Junior Walker?
The All-Stars will post bail.
Considering the type of people that read that paper, it's understandable.
Breaking News: A snow flake was upset at the sight of a shotgun. He is currently in intensive care at a local hospital and is not expected to survive.
Haha, you sir may very well be the thread winner.
some busy-body neighbor looking into homes up there?
This is outrageous!
Couldn’t find it. Was it lost in a boating accident? Seriously, what a waste of law enforcement time and taxpayer’s money.
I am still hoping for more information, but as it stands this is beyond outrageous. The article reads like this is standard operating procedure for someone seeing a gun through your front window.
And machine guns.
“- A person of interest is in police custody...”
I hope it’s the 911 caller. Owner apparently wasn’t in custody.
It's just north of Canandaigua. Not that far from the Thruway. I don't understand why the Rochester Police were called. Rochester is in Monroe County. Farmington is in Ontario County. Makes no sense to me.
I live in Oneida County, NY. There are a lot of hunters here who own shotguns, and other weapons. I worked in NY State's prison system. As Peace Officers, we were allowed to own weapons on our badge, and plenty of the officers I worked with owned firearms. Many were hunters. They would even open carry them on their way to work, leaving them in the arsenal prior to entering the prison, then picking them back up again on their way home. Several officers also worked part-time for local town/village police agencies on their days off.
That’s a well done gif...perfect timing.
‘I wasn’t peeping officer, I saw a shotgun and went to investigate’
This culture is being brain-washed and programmed to view guns as evil objects and those who own them as the same.
For the sake of brevity, they probably left out the part about the body seen at the bottom of the driveway, with about a dozen entry wounds around the face and neck.
From WROC TV:
UPDATE 7:00 p.m.)
Police have closed Farmington Road again and conducting an investigation.
A bomb squad was called to a home on Farmington Road.
Police say the investigation is still ongoing.
This makes his a little more interesting, but it still sounds pretty hokie.
You betcha. That’s why they used to put NY State country boys in the Infantry. Like me. Discharged as MG gun squad leader, 174th Armored Infantry.
