Inappropriate? Yes. Misguided? Yes. An ill-informed challenge? Yes. But not an attack.

This was at least a passive/agressive attack:

We, sir, we are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us — our planet, our children, our parents — or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir. But we truly hope that this show has inspired you to uphold our American values and to work on behalf of all of us. All of us.

Why would they be anxious and alarmed? Because everybody knows Trump and Pence are White Supremacists who care nothing about "diverse" people. This is why I have not seen/heard Hamilton. I cannot see the nimrods who participated in this show having anything to say that I need to hear. And I hate hip-hop.

However, if Miranda created something non-political that looked interesting to me, I'd probably watch it. All of the entertainment industry thinks like him. As long as they don't preach their leftist twaddle to me, I'll let them entertain me.

I agree that the speech was passive/aggressive. It wasn’t the right time for it, and it was ill-informed. It was an ignorant speech.
