Those who voted for him in his district do not (generally) read the NYT and he has no valid reason to give interviews to the NYT so they can (so easily) sandbag him.
He is either trying to sabotage his own part and not get President Trump reelected, or he is not smart enough to realize that is the effect of his interview.
Either way, too stupid for a Congressman. He should not run for reelection. He is a drag on the national ticket and it is about winning and changing the courts.
