You won’t see Beto O’Rourke announce whether he’s running for president in 2020 for a while. But you may see him do almost anything else in the meantime.

That’s a good question. As I see it he really needs to go national first. That points to the convention where he’s running for the Senate(Cornyn’s seat) That will give the national media the opportunity to showcase him for 4 years. The same route Obama went. Besides the Pendulum takes 8 years to swing in most cases.
