Nothing of the sort happenned. THIS is CNN!

What IS happening is that Mulvaney is managing the shifting around of money through the OMB to the areas the money needs to be shifted (these are all things he is wonkie EXPERT at). Such that people who need to get paid... get paid. Bleed the democrats dry of their patronage jobs and the kickback that comes from their “unionized” pay.

This entire article of bull crap is meant to tar Mulvaney— the very guy these clowns KNOW is doing this. Things like stopping all the lies about just what has “stopped”, by making sure crucial payments are made. The dude is made for this— never forget his prior role. And the “cover” that his new job as “interim” WH Chief of Staff position provides during the shutdown.

If it didn't happen DJT will Tweet out a reply. If it's true, good for DJT. Either way, a win, win.

About which see: the NAMES of the 8 republicans in the house who voted to selectively “fund” certain areas that are not getting their “extra” funds— as opposed to just doing their jobs, for which there is still funding.

Meanwhile apparently, 8 republicans in the House voted with the dems on this “selective” restoration... these included Fred Upton of MI, and Elise Stefanik of upstate NY. and six others— NONE from the South, notably.

Good analysis. IMHO, if Trump did in fact scold Mulvaney, it was all a pre-planned charade.

How many of these employees are unionized?

If most or many, this gets very interesting, because it means the unions won’t be getting paid either. They can probably only go a short time before the leadership, along with all the things they influence, falls apart.

...meanwhile, many are probably going to get short term employment - there’s plenty of jobs. Some might experience the private sector being more beneficial and not come back. So even after this is all over the union revenue base might still take a significant hit.

Hmmmmmm......
