About 68% of filers will get a refund. President Trump already said they're coming. Steny Hoyer thought about fighting him on this and but has apparently considered that maybe the Democrats don't want to be the party that blocked everyone's refunds. Optics and all that.

No fool here, but I thought I read in more places than one that tax refunds won’t be affected.
Right? I’m always shaking my head at people who say “I’m getting big refund from the IRS!’’ None of them ever realizing it’s their own money their getting back.
Half the country doesn’t pay income taxes. That leaves 50 percent where some over pay. I try to owe the irs. But if you owe the too much over too many years they want to penaltize you. If you over pay for multiple years that’s ok. Screw them.
It’s like giving the government an interest free loan.

Yep - I try to manage my deductions so I owe between $100 - $500 instead of them owing me.
