Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.) tore into fellow Republican Rep. Steve King (Iowa) on Friday after King questioned how terms such as white supremacist and "white nationalist" were offensive, writing in an op-ed that Republicans with opinions like King's damage the party and the nation as a whole.
Scott wrote in an op-ed for The Washington Post that the party often struggles with civility and fairness, pointing to Kings comments, which drew swift blowback from conservatives and Democrats.
When people with opinions similar to Kings open their mouths, they damage not only the Republican Party and the conservative brand but also our nation as a whole, Scott wrote. They want to be treated with fairness for some perceived slights but refuse to return the favor to those on the other side.

Republicans specialize in punching right. You don’t see the Democrats doing this.
Black nationalist good. Black supremacist good.
White nationalist bad. White supremacist bad.
New Yawk “republicans” are...different.
I would agree “white suprimist” suggests better than - not good.
However, “white nationalist” says a white person who puts America first - a patriot - that’s good, mighty good.
If King has to ask, he is too stupid to be in office.
He is a Dem ..
SC needs TWO new senators .
This guy got to go .
Attacking a fellow GOP in the compost .
Name the last time a Dem did that .
Never .
New Yawk republicans are...different.

This was the Iowa King not the New York King.
Tim Scott proving that all of SC’s Congressional delegation are Cheap Labor Express stooges.

I was about to say that very same thing. During the primaries (D or R) the gloves are off. Anything goes. But after the primaries, the Democrats come together. It’s one big love-in.
But the Republicans are different. The sniping and bitching remain. And it’s all done in public. Just another reason why the GOP will eventually go the way of the Whigs.
My prediction: Thirty years from now, there will still be two parties on the national level. It will be the Democrats, and the Democrat-Socialists. The GOP will only exist on the state level. (A few governors and a few dog-catchers.)
Tim Scott is a virtue signalling empty suit. Apparently, he dreams of running for POTUS.
Well, they wont allow Scott to caucus with the CBC, so theres that.
If Tim Scott ever becomes an Independent vs a Republican,
I won’t be surprised, but I would be relieved.
Is there very much that he likes about the GOP, besides having had gainful employment for the last few years ?
Scott is a race baiting opportunist. He sunk one of Trump’s judicial nominees last month based on racial issues.
Once again, Tim Scott puts racial and tribal politics over principle and the good of the nation.
Can’t South Carolina do better than this bozo?
Any white person who refuses to publicly denounce his race = a white supremacist.
Any white person who loves his country = a white nationalist.
At least, according to the Left.
This traitor needs to get sent a ugly Primary his way .
He has outed himself .
Attacking a fellow Gop based on Dem media PC talking points .
Then why not just "nationalist"?
“Scott is a race baiting opportunist. He sunk one of Trumps judicial nominees last month based on racial issues.”
He’s spiked at least 2 of President Trump’s nominees:
Ryan Bounds (nominated for a seat on the Ninth Circuit)
Thomas Farr (nominated for the District Court for Eastern North Carolina)
Black people may have groups; white people may not.
Are you a hypocrite if you have a double standard?
