This resolution was in regards to John McCain's birth in Panama. Basically, the Senate saying, "we're not going to challenge your eligibility."

I’m with you on this. I was also in the middle of this fight back in 2008. People who make their own definition of Natural Born Citizen can do so until the cows come home. Since the Constitution is silent on this point, this is going no where.
If she is nominated and are placed on the ballots of the several States, she will be a candidate, and if elected, will be sworn in.
The courts, as they did the last time, we avoid this like an Ebola victim. This issue will be decided by the voters.

Vattel wrote in French. He did not use the term NBC. 10 years AFTER the Constitution was written, a translation of Vattel substituted NBC for “indigenes” - a word used in both French and English to mean indigenous persons.
So no, the Framers were NOT thinking about Vattel when they wrote the Constitution. If they had been, they would have used the word Vattel used and required the President to be indigenous.

Evidenced by never-ending witch hunt of PDJT by Robert Mueller, and likewise last minute allegations against Justice Kavanaugh during his confirmation hearing, the Democrats unsuccessfully moving the allegation goalpost on Kavanaugh a few times to try to run out the clock imo, Democrats had successfully dragged out conclusion about Obama’s NBC citizenship qualification for Oval Office long enough to get Obama reelected despite concerns of Democratic ballot box manipulation.
Regarding Constitution-related evidence of definition of NBC, note that the congressional record shows the following.
Rep. John Bingham, the main author of Section 1 of the 14th Amendment, had clarified definition of NBC while doing his homework for Section 1 since it helps to define citizenship.
"Fourteenth Amendment, Section 1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States [emphasis added] and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”

There are many, like you, who have not bothered to spend the time it takes to research the subject, ( as I have).
In her case, it’s real simple. Were BOTH her parents U.S. citizens at the time of Kamala’s birth? If not... she isn’t eligible to the office of President or Vice-President.
The problem is... that we already allowed an ineligible person of questionable U.S. citizenship to become president, TWICE!
I have ZERO doubt that the founding fathers meant for a person to be eligible to the office of President (Command and Chief) to have been born “in the country” by TWO citizen parentS.
It will take a definitive ruling by SCOTUS to settle this.
