As President Donald Trump travels to the border in Texas to make the case for his $5.7 billion wall , landowner Eloisa Cavazos says she knows firsthand how the project will play out if the White House gets its way.
The federal government has started surveying land along the border in Texas and announced plans to start construction next month. Rather than surrender their land, some property owners are digging in, vowing to reject buyout offers and preparing to fight the administration in court.
You could give me a trillion dollars and I wouldnt take it, said Cavazos, whose land sits along the Rio Grande, the river separating the U.S. and Mexico in Texas. Its not about money.

Eminent Domain. Trump does not have a problem enforcing that one.

Dude, look up eminent domain. Then shut up.
“You could give me a trillion dollars and I wouldnt take it, said Cavazos, whose land sits along the Rio Grande, the river separating the U.S. and Mexico in Texas. Its not about money.”
Go back to Mexico, puta!
Sounds as if Cavazosis making $$ off of human trafficking.
“Find” a near extinct species of Armadillo on their land. Problem solved.
Don’t want to sell Eloisia?
Fine, we’ll build it on your neighbors property.
Do you have a passport?
Cavezos doesn’t give a damn about murder, rape, child-trafficking or drug gangs. Send this Commie creep back across the border.
Catholicism opposes borders?
Or is this particular diocese composed of illegal aliens who want to America be conquered by their fellow invaders?
“It’s not about money.”
Of course not. You (Cavazos, not shelterguy) will have the only remaining strip of land NOT protected by a wall/fence/barrier. And every illegal who thinks there is still a chance of making it will pour across YOUR property, thus destroying just about all its remaining utility.
Maybe you could collect tolls? Don’t see many other ways of recouping your inevitable losses.
Cavazos is probably already paid off by the cartels for easy passage.
Nasty little critters, carry leprosy.....................
If I owned land on the border I would BEG them to take some for the wall.
Build the fence on their property last. When they are flooded with migrants tramping through his land, stealing everything that is not tied down, when he and his family cant leave their home without intense fear for their lives he may rethink his position. Oh, and did I mention the helicopters and DEA planes constantly overhead........he may change his mind
on the south side? Like hell.
Put the barrier on the US side of her and leave her where she really wants to be anyway.
I remember doing residential fencing years ago. If there was a powerline nearby an easement existed many times. You could do anything you want on your property but if they needed access to the line or do repairs they could knock down anything in the way.
You know there is an easement along a border with another country.
It’s always about the money. Eloisa Cavazos is just holding out for the best price.
Eminent domain seizure in order. Else, put the idiot’s property on the Mexican side of the wall. See how he likes that, make him travel to a border crossing to enter the US.
