President Donald Trump walked out of discussions to end a partial government shutdown, now in its third week, calling discussions with congressional Democrats "a total waste of time."

"Just left a meeting with Chuck and Nancy, a total waste of time. I asked what is going to happen in 30 days if I quickly open things up, are you going to approve Border Security which includes a Wall or Steel Barrier? Nancy said, NO. I said bye-bye, nothing else works!" Trump said.

The whole speech was a waste of time and he knows it. Pull the trigger on the Mr. President and fund the wall through our military.

This IS a national emergency.

Even our county located 6 hours from border arrested over 60 of them LAST week. They are flooding the border and daily chases occur between CSO and these invaders causing hazards on the road as well as to Citizens property and life.

Do something before WE the People do.

He won’t win with a shut down. The only ones being punished are the workers (who have yet to miss a single paycheck), not Congress. Trump failed in last night’s speech. Sorry, but he did. He missed the boat to stick it to the demonrats by quoting them from every time they supported border security. Name names. Don’t let them off the hook. And name the wall The Signh Wall so they can’t wiggle out of funding it.

Ways Trump can win:

• Declaring National Emergency and building the wall or
• Waiting until Democrats have heard enough from snap recipients and furloughed government employees and drug addicts that Dem's give in.
• Debating the issue in public, like he did last night. Which paints the democrats as week on border security.
• Waiting for the public debate to swing more strongly in favor of the wall.
• Reduction in the federal workforce as employees quit for more stable paychecks.
• Closing border entrances to reduce imports, reducing the trade deficit and supporting American companies.
• Slowing customs for the same reason.

For Democrats, opposition to a wall at the U.S. southern border, where thousands of illegals are pouring in, isn’t about “women and children.” It’s not about compassion; it’s not about a wall’s “effectiveness” (we know that a wall is effective); it’s not about the environment; it’s not about locking up the legal Latino-American vote; it’s not even (all that much) about doling goodies to indigents to expand the underclass and, with it, the size of government.

It’s about winning elections.

For Democrats, illegals are the arriving reinforcements, the ship coming in, the margin of victory, as they seek to rig the electoral landscape to secure power permanently. Last thing in the world they would want to see is Trump stopping their entry via a border wall or through any scintilla of immigration enforcement, even in cases of violent crime against Americans and legal aliens. Illegals are now the Democrats’ meal ticket.

The American People want a secure border. So President should be able to stand alone against Congress and the media.
