Britain, an island practically made out of coal, transitioned to socialism. I a short time, they were importing coal.

Prepper Ping - Gas Shortage in Mexico

The Associated Press reports that 84 percent of gas stations (in various states in Mexico) are closed
– and shows a miles-long line of cars waiting to tank up, in Guanajuato (in central Mexico) .
Last year, $3 billion worth of fuel was stolen from Pemex, Mexico's state-owned oil company.
The government has shifted transport of fuel to tanker trucks and rail cars and away from pipelines,
which are regularly tapped by thieves.
But the new distribution systems apparently can't keep up with consumer demand.
Pemex has had to tell customers not to panic or hoard fuel, despite the government change in delivery policy.
But a crackdown by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has left many ordinary Mexicans struggling to find gas.

The Mexican tappers must be more skilled than the Nigerians. Haven’t yet heard of massive explosions caused by the thieves.

The Communists believe there is no such thing as ‘Property’ so this isn’t ‘Theft’.

“Pemex has had to tell customers not to panic or hoard fuel, despite the government change in delivery policy.”

That’s the next best thing to a government announcement that urges everyone to hoard fuel...and anything else that the rumor mill can generate.

I’ll still never forget when Johnny Carson made a joke about a (then) non-existent toilet paper shortage (circa 1973-74). It became a real shortage starting the next day, and it lasted for a nice few weeks. Way to go, Pemex ass-clowns!

Fuel pipelines only work in a high-trust society. Which Mexico AIN’T.

Ahhh...they’re just practicing for when they waltz across the Rio Grande - plenty of light sweet crude and refined gasoline to steal up there.

Remember: family values don’t stop at the Rio Grande, right George?

I am in Guadalajara right now. Almost all gas stations are closed and the few that are open have lines 100+ cars long. There is still traffic but people are starting to run out. I don’t think this can continue much longer.
