'Hey, GOP! Jump on the carbon tax bandwagon to save the planet!'

While Costello was on the moderate side of the climate issue in Congress before he decided against running for reelection last year, he thinks he can get more of the GOP onboard.

“The Republican position is that regulations create market uncertainty and oftentimes don’t accomplish the objective. We feel that this is a better way of getting to the objective, which is substantially reducing carbon emissions over the next 10 years, and ultimately getting to a zero carbon footprint,” he said.

Basically he going to tell Republicans they can earn big money by joining the scam.

If ya can't defeat it you might as well make money off it.

Any Republican that supports this nonsense isn't really a Republican. This is one of those issues that makes it easy to decide whether or not the candidate gets your vote.

Al Gore's BTU tax in different clothes, that's all the carbon tax is. The goal is to limit the energy everyone can have and thereby every detail of their lives.

Want to drive yourself to work rather than moving to a city and using Mass Transit? Fine, but you won't be able to heat or cool your house as well because you'd use too many BTUs or produce too much carbon.

Start your own business? You better save up a ton of carbon credits because that little shop you want to have will produce a lot of carbon.

On and on, one damn bunch of lies intended to dupe the public the same way they duped the public to get the 16th and 17th Amendments that gave the Federal Government unlimited power and nationalized all politics so that States were no longer a brake on the Federal Government.

No checks, no balances, just the wonderful, benevolent, Nobility dictating every detail of the lives of serfs, that's the goal.

“For Republicans to be the party of the future, we need a plan to protect the future,” he wrote. “With the early impacts of climate change plain for all to see, it is high time for the Grand Old Party to embrace its proud historical legacy of environmental conservation by proposing market-based and forward-looking climate solutions of our own.”

I think it is high time for you to eat a big bag of dicks. Goddamn crooks.

It’s another social transfer tax. In his commentary he says that the majority of American families will get more in carbon dividends than they pay.

He fails to mention how higher prices will surpass the dividend. There will be economic winners, losers, and a healthy cut for the governing class. Plus the added benefit of being able to carve out a exceptions to the tax, impose heavier taxes, etc. in exchange for votes and campaign cash.
