Eric Risberg | AP California Governor Gavin Newsom takes the oath of office from state Supreme Court Chief Justice Tani Gorre Cantil-Sakauye as his wife Jennifer Siebel Newsom looks on during his inauguration Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, in Sacramento, Calif. California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom ripped the Trump administration and its policies during his inaugural address Monday while also taking a swipe at President Donald Trump himself, without mentioning him.

"Here in California, we will prove that people of good faith, and firm will can still come together to achieve big things," Newsom said. "We will offer an alternative to the corruption and the incompetence in the White House. Our government will be progressive, principled and always on the side of the people."

He also spoke about the state standing up against Washington's policies on everything from the environment, immigration and LGBT rights to women's reproductive access. Newsom and Trump have traded barbs in the past and just last week the California politician blasted the president's threat to close the southern border as "irresponsible, irrational and absurd."

So basically this prick Newsom is announcing he’s running for POTUS in 2024, but with an ego that size maybe even 2020.

Typical liberal projection... Since they sell out to the Russians, there must be Russian collusion in the Republicans. Since they are corrupt, the Republicans must be corrupt. And since they are incompetent, so too must be the Republicans.

I’ve been ordered by the state of California to buy health insurance lest I face a fine. Go for it, California, I’ll fight you tooth and nail every inch of the way for yet another illegal move.

If I were still in California, I’d be feeling like a Jew listening to Hitler on the radio.

And unlike the Jews in Germany, I wouldn’t blow him off as a harmless nutcase*. I’d be doing everything humanly possible to get the hell out of there.

*Don’t get me wrong, I can understand the mindset of Jews in Germany back then. They lived in arguably the most advanced, cultured, country in the world. And there had never been a genocide targeted in that fashion in the past. In any case, obviously I wasn’t there...so who knows, maybe I am paranoid enough to have packed up and split, when it was still possible.

I can only imagine how horrified California conservatives are, listening to this tonight.

If I hadn’t already packed my bags thirteen years ago, I’d be doing so now.

he’s not unstable, he’s running for president. to win that nomination, you have to appear at least as crazy and the crazies currently in the race.

taking a swipe at President Donald Trump himself, without mentioning him.

What is the phenomena I am increasingly hearing of … "taking a swipe at, without mentioning"?
