My first thought too.
Dem’s spin wheel ....
Way more than enough, as near as I can tell. I hated Obama at least as much as they hate Trump, but I restrained my responses, after all he was President. Why can't the left do the same?
The only way I can put it into perspective, is a story related to the class by a psychology professor long ago and far away in a galaxy near Raleigh, NC.
He related that working at the local nuthouse, the male residents were pretty goofy, but you could sit & have a conversation, as long as you could ignore some of what they said.
The women's ward, on the other hand, was complete pandemonium with screaming and feces on the wall and you went in there at your own peril.
My take away from that isn't at all sexist, but that women tend to be driven by emotion, which for that particular group was completely out of control. I think the same condition applies to the left in general, they tend to be driven by emotion, which is much easier to get out of kilter.
Being Trump, or anyone associated with him in any way, wife, son, voter, etc. is enough to get them to share the lack of love.
The ‘Rats would be fighting just as hard and proposing articles of impeachment against President Marco Rubio, President Jeb Bush, President Rand Paul, etc etc etc.
In other words, the ‘rats want the president impeached and removed for exercising his right to free speech.
It all reminds me of the angry professor who refused to do his job due to the demographics of his class. He even talked over our heads and apologized to the people in the class from the “correct” demographic about his decision to not do his job due to an overwhelming “moral” imperative to disadvantage the rest of us.
I also had another professor who stated at the beginning of the class that it would be impossible for any of us to earn an A in his class because we were Americans and none of us had ever had to walk to school through a place where lions might eat us.
I prefer the second unfair professor to the first one because at least he taught us the information we had paid to be taught. They both disadvantaged people solely based on demographics though, and this is instructive. The first professor is from the school of “thought” animating the impeach Trump crowd.
I don’t think you can run a successful society by purposefully arbitrary rules like this. It seems to me that we should start contemplating the weaknesses of groups organized around these “principles” and start using that information strategically against them. Seems like a lot of weak exploitable links to me.
To stay out of jail?
“that women tend to be driven by emotion”
Well said.
I went through the same thing with Obummer. I hated the jerk long before the 2008 election and knew he would be trouble. But I held my tongue.
We had a custom in the military (USAF, 1974-80) that no matter how much you hated the guy, you could always salute the uniform to maintain at least the appearance of respect.
Obummer was declared President, though never qualified for the job, so at least a measure of respect was required. A microscopic measure, but a measure to be sure.
If “sowing discord” is grounds for impeachment, then most of the members of the House of Representatives and the Senate need to be impeached, as well.
I think as far as President Trump is concerned, the whole impeachment issue is a version of “how to keep an idiot busy.”
You are right about Obama. Can you imagine, though, the outcry and outrage (and mockery) had anyone filed those same articles of impeachment against HIM?
The Left is going to be good at destroying things but the same governing principles (such as they are) will not result in stable governance. If you just say “that is their way” you will wind up living by their rules. You need to stop being contemptuous and start taking them seriously as a threat. Better to overestimate their strength and learn about their strengths and weaknesses (and use that information against them) than to underestimate them, ignore them, and get overtaken by them.
They want to impeach and remove President Trump because he won the election.
They want to impeach him, because the Voters elected him...
“...Democratic Rep. Rashida Tlaib electrified progressives with her passionate declaration that she and her colleagues will “ impeach the mother******”...”
OK...Stop and think about it.....Melania IS a mother...
Trump is a fortunate guy....
...”They want to impeach him because he won.”...
And, he is still breathing.
...”petty juvenile jealousy.”...
ENVY, too. Gossip and rumors are the first actions people take against those they envy and the fake news about Trump which has been put out by the media and his enemies in government would fill an ocean.
It’s their indictments for corruption they’re more concerned about.
That professor sound like my PoliSci professor in ‘76. She said (first day of class) that we all need to campaign for Carter. I told her that I wouldn’t vote for that peanut farmer, because he’s a nut. She told me that I have to go out and campaign anyway. She gave me an F, when I complained she raised it to a D.
