(CNN) — In recent weeks, a new consensus has emerged among many legal analysts and observers: Special counsel Robert Mueller is finally closing in on President Trump. This could be correct, but at present, it is still mostly conjecture. There remains a real possibility that Mueller will come up empty, at least in connection with President Donald Trump, his family, and high-level advisers.
Neither liberals nor conservatives have adequately considered this prospect. They should.
For liberals, it is an article of faith that Mueller will produce a damning report if only he is allowed to complete his investigation. Conservatives dispute this, but their incessant attacks on Mueller suggest a far more pessimistic outlook. Why try to destroy the man who is about to exonerate you?

Well, it looks like you turds in the leftwing, fake news “media” are going to have to pick up the ball to overthrow the President of the United States.
So CNN is finally admitting this whole things was a "get Trump, whatever it takes" effort. "Russian interference" was just a pretext to put Trump under a microscope.

Because Mueller has no reason to wrap things up even, and perhaps especially, if he has bupkis on Trump.
If you’re gonna take shots at the king...well you know the rest. I suspect you will witness retribution beyond belief which would be warranted. At least one can dream.
Mueller is only enriching himself and his buddies by what they are billing taxpayers for their billable hours WHILE collecting a paycheck from the DOJ.
The idea is to make anyone close to POTUS feel like they may be mulehead's NEXT target.

There is no motivation to end the witch hunt. The Dems need to stretch it out through the 2020 election cycle. The whole scheme was designed as tax-supported oppo research for the DNC. Trump has said he won’t declas what he has until after Mueller files his report. It won’t be released until after the 2020 elections, and if Trump wins a second term, the entire cesspool of data will have been used as fodder for impeachment. So here we are - stuck in neutral. The Senate needs to sprout some investigative gonads. Trump needs to motivate the good guys in the DoJ to go after the real DNC Russia collusion, and Trump needs to declas the dirt.
They have been screeching that it is any week now for two years, that Muller has plenty of evidence, etc. If that was the case I’m 99.9999% sure someone would have leaded something to the press before the mid-term elections.
What happens if Mueller comes up empty.
In almost two years, Mueller has come up with NOTHING.
He is like the village idiot sitting under a tree amusing himself by abusing himself. Political Hack!

Mueller and the Dems have no intention of "exonerating" Trump, and if allowed to they will investigate, leak, and destroy anyone who ever met him until the sun burns out.
Well, maybe not that long, but the probe will go on until election time, and after that if Trump wins. They will never willingly "wrap it up" or exonerate anyone.
What is this “Rule of Law” thing they talk about? We all know that laws only apply to Conservatives. Liberals are above the law (or so they think).
The day hes done with nothing is the day the investigation into him needs to begin. And given the same budget and leeway that he had.
He can’t come up empty. He has uncovered a whole host of crimes perpetrated by the FBI, the White Hut, Cankles, fraud on the FISA court, a soft coup d’etat ... if he was truthfully investigating ALL elements of “Russian Collusion” there would be a whole host of RATs going to Club Fed.
It’s time for a real investigation into the corruption of the DOJ and FBI.
