Beware Senator Mitch McConnell…
The Last Refuge ^ | January 4, 2019 | sundance

Posted on 01/05/2019 2:35:07 PM PST by Bratch

Sometimes we must call the baby ugly.  CTH has followed and mapped how Mitch McConnell operates for over a decade.  Here’s the deal as we see it…

Senate Leader Mitch McConnell has one major career alliance that has been unbroken and unchanged for well over two decades.  That alliance is with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and specifically with CoC President Tom Donohue.  [SEE HERE and SEE HERE].

Mitch McConnell is stealthily working against the efforts of President Donald Trump.  The effort is to support his primary Wall Street financial benefactor, Donohue. However, Mitch McConnell cannot directly be connected to underhanded efforts against President Trump because it would lead to: (A) questions about a confrontation; and (B) public exposure. [ex. think about how McConnell is blocking President Trump from recess appointments]

Mitch McConnell is up for election in 2020; in the exact same cycle as the reelection of President Trump.  If it became more obvious what McConnell is doing, there’s a strong, heck, guaranteed, likelihood Trump would be empowered to turn against McConnell.  Therefore Mitch McConnell has to be very careful about the visibility of how he undermines the President. Everything must have built in plausible deniability.

McConnell has a history of getting caught. However, fortunately for him people also have a tendency to forget (see McConnell’s scheme in the Mississippi 2014 Cochran race as an example).  Almost no-one remembers that U.S. Senator Jim DeMint, the founder of the Senate Conservative Fund, quit the Senate specifically because of the schemes and internal Machiavellian power moves of Mitch McConnell.

So when the carefully constructed, pre-planned, pre-scheduled, and pre-organized public op-ed by incoming Senator Mitt Romney was deployed in the Washington Post… for those who have watched McConnell work; we knew exactly who orchestrated it and why.

Senator Romney will be one (not the only) visible face of the opposition.  However, just like former Senator Corker and current Senator Sasse, the instructions (direct and indirect), and/or the approvals, will come from Leader McConnell’s office.

Through his power structure McConnell directly controls about 8 to 15 republican senators; we have called them “The Decepticons” for years. [Cornyn, Thune, Porter, Blunt, Portman, Burr, Barasso, Crapo, Murkowski, Gardner, Roberts, Sasse, Tillis, Graham and now Romney]

McConnell needed to test Romney’s commitment to the Decepticon club.  Romney passed the test.  Romney was rewarded with placement on the Senate Foreign Relations committee.  Those Senators who sit on this committee get the most financial benefit from foreign lobbying.  To understand the financial process think: Qatar & McCain Institute etc.

That’s what is going on internally…. and no, I doubt President Trump knows the scale of it; or maybe he does, and he has to pretend like he doesn’t to navigate his agenda… but somehow I doubt it.

To remind ourselves how Minority and Majority Senator McConnell took down the threat of the Tea Party revisit these old articles CNN Part I and CNN Part II  both showcase how McConnell works.   Then do some research on how McConnell worked with Haley Barbour in Mississippi [SEE HERE].

Yes, Democrats are the opponents.  However, the far more urgent MAGA enemy is Mitch McConnell.

There.

California can’t be saved until they totally crash. Once that happens there won’t be a Democrat elected for 7 generations. They are almost there now between the fires, pensions, taxes and productive people moving out.

When it comes to Ryan and others in DC, those who are, obviously, two-faced gutless bottom feeders, follow the money and, my bet, is that it goes right to George Soros.

You'll have an indication of that if the conservative Federal judge assembly line doesn't start back up now that the door has hit "Good Hair" Flake in the @ss on his way out.

Wonder how they're going to keep the plates in the air?

They are not. A huge number of illegals are taking up benefits. Their children are taking up school rooms, and they fill free hospitals. Once the subsidies stop for Obamacare things will start to fall

Mcconnell does not like Trump... he’s not going to do him any favors.. but if he gets the wind of the people out here.. he will do what they want (to a degree), to keep his seat warm in congress. If he is one of the few who hears enough from his voters or the public..he won’t go against them if he can worm it right.

The people want the border shut off from illegals.. those pictures of them storming the ‘gates’ and the huge numbers... turned a lot of minds to stopping it.

Imagine them trying to get into our homes...

Time to make public McConnell’s questionable “separation” from the Army.

Water will probably be what tips California. Too many new consumers of water, not enough to grow the food, environmental activists that keep poking the bear, and then more rate increases to match electricity increases to cover the costs of the fires and increased prevention.

Mark Bradman ‘Sundance’ is correct that McConnell was behind the hit on Chris McDaniel in Mississippi and all the names listed above were in on it at McDonnell’s behest.

We posted voluminously about it here on FR and presented direct evidence of McConnell’s duplicity and involvement. Many Freepers were shocked to discover their US Senator was acting on McConnell’s orders.

McConnell controls the money and hence the reelection chances of many Senate incumbents. The money he controls is provided by special interests one of which is mentioned by Sundance above, Tom Donohue of the so-called US Chamber of Commerce which pushes for massive amnesty of illegals.

Want to know why there is no Wall funding? Look to McConnell. Oh for sure McConnell voted for funding the wall but he allowed for 60-vote cloture to fund the Wall it was DOA. So he knew when he voted to fund the Wall it was DOA. He could have tabled the cloture vote and brought the Wall funding in on a budget bill requiring only a simple majority. But he didn’t and we know why.

McConnell allows Senators to vote for things like defunding Planned Parenthood, repeal of Obamacare, etc. knowing ahead of time that those items will lose. So he provides cover for Senators as well as reelection funding and grifting.

He’s a snake.

> “The effectiveness of the wall is limited anyway”

No. The history of the San Diego Wall, which is never broadcast in the MSM, shows that their wall is 99% effective. Border Patrol Officers there swear by it and say it allows them to focus on the few that get through. It reduces their workload very substantially.

I don’t disagree with you, but you’re citing evidence about a wall that is located in one of the most heavily populated areas of the border where there are a number of border crossings and Border Patrol scrutiny is already very heavy.

I can’t believe DJT hasn’t called him in for a “talk.” DJT didn’t just fall off the turnip truck. Surely he knows how to handle people in an ugly way. “Look Mitch, either fall in line or an ill wind will blow your way.”

The Gop leadership only cares that the leadership is re-elected. Those who want positive change aren’t welcome. It’s all about delegating the money.

Great on the judiciary.

If he's so great, why did he leave scores unconfirmed at the end of the just outgoing congress? He'll have a bigger backlog at the end of this fresh congress so he can hand lots of vacancies to Schumer a s the new Majority Leader. Mitch is a snake and will jump at the chance to get impeachment done on DJT.
