Bah! I might have listened to Mark. The rest of those guys are just awful! And boring.

Herman keeps it moving BUT...he devoted nearly all 3 hrs to non-entity Mitt Romney yesterday. He kept referring to himself as an insider (or ex-insider) and noting that he had plenty of stories to tell - so why not tell them? Especially about corrupt, crazy Pelosi et al?

It’s understandable these guest hosts are asked - or volunteer - to plug the web site, the newsletter (how quaint) and the web store but the long-form exhortation (especially Steyn’s patter) is B-O-R-I-N-G. Mind you, I digitally record the show and edit this rubbish out. A guest-hosted show might offer only an hour and change of content.

The web store concept in general is mystifying. Who, one wonders, would buy an EIB shirt or hat? Who would actually wear it? I’m picturing some shuffling old codger in his Reebok walking shoes doing laps in the mall.

Todd Herman easily outshines other guest hosts with his inside knowledge of having worked in DC.

And he pull no punches in talking about the corruption he observed and lived through.

Where Mark brings humor to the political game, Todd Herman shines a bright and serious light on it.
