As I posted on the earlier thread:

“President Trump Isn’t the Enemy, Mr. Romney”

Has Mittens backed down on anything he said?

Despite his other shortcomings, he declared war on Trump’s agenda ASAP after assuming office.

That makes ROMNEY the enemy, and by his declaration, Trump IS Romney’s enemy.

So is America.

Romney is a swamp creature, so, to him, Trump is the enemy.
Thanks for nothing, Utah.

Romney and all Bush League Republicans are the enemy within.

Bush League Republicans MUST become extinct before the Republic does.

If we keep electing Amnesty Senators, we will get amnesty and lose our country.

It is not President Trump who threatens the nation’s interest, Mr. Romney, but the Democratic Party, which you have just gone out of your way to assist — whether you realize it or not.

Oh you better believe the back stabbing rat bastard realizes it!

Never have been a Romney fan, as is evidenced from my FR post way back when Romney was running for President:
"The so-called "testy" and unpresidential interview response on Fox follows several others in the past.

What could have been a "teaching moment" for youth on the merits of freedom of individual enterprise and liberty, turned into a petty self-focus and plays right into Obama's campaign narrative on the 1% for an Obama-Romney fight.

Romney's campaign words focus on issues, without grounding in principles.

Will some supporter of Romney provide real examples from his own words, prior to this campaign, which provide proof that he has incorporated the principles underlying our Declaration of Independence and Constitution into his speeches and actions over the past several decades?

If not, then what is it that makes them believe Romney to be the most qualified candidate to take on an incumbent President whose entire adult life has been dedicated to the principles of redistribution and government rule over people?

It's one thing to argue about issues. Anyone can do that.

What's required between now and November is a patriot who can articulate, explain, and defend the principles essential to freedom for individuals in a society.

That's why ordinary people are not convinced that Romney should be the one person standing between their grandchildren's imminent descent into slavery to government, as opposed to a new day of freedom for rising generations.

Oh, how we need a Washington or a Jefferson!

Nothing seems to have changed as it pertains to Romney's potential for leadership in Constitutional principle--just "testy" responses and sound bites for TV!

While perhaps not Washington or Jefferson, Trump does seem to understand that government and government officials are not sufficient barriers against tyranny. "The People" and their engagement are essential to preserving that liberty.

From article by Mr Knowles:
Conveniently lost amid the endless jabber over President Trump’s character flaws are the myriad shortcomings of his predecessors and critics. No more vulgar or erratic than exhibitionist Lyndon Johnson, no less learned than haberdasher Harry Truman, no more a womanizer than Bill Clinton, JFK, LBJ, and FDR, Trump starts to seem disciplined by comparison.

The former Massachusetts governor, current Utah senator, and twice-failed presidential candidate published a sanctimonious op-ed in Pravda on the Potomac this week in which he bemoaned the “deep descent” of the Trump presidency. Romney took issue with Trump’s “resentment and name-calling,” his lack of “honesty and integrity,” and his overall “shortfall” in the “qualities of character.”

Mitt Romney had no issue with name-calling when he called the president “a phony” and “a fraud” in a 2016 diatribe at the University of Utah. You may have missed those comments, sandwiched in between his presidential and Senate runs in 2012 and 2018, respectively, when he requested Trump’s endorsement. In 2012, Romney gushed, “Being in Donald Trump’s magnificent hotel and having his endorsement is a delight. I’m so honored and pleased to have his endorsement.”

In 2016, he declared, “On the economy, if Donald Trump’s plans were ever implemented, the country would sink into prolonged recession. … A business genius he is not.” In 2012, Romney raved, “Donald Trump has shown an extraordinary ability to understand how our economy works, to create jobs for the American people.” He even complimented Trump’s superior business acumen, observing, “I’ve spent my life in the private sector — not quite as successful as this guy, but successful nonetheless.” Are we expected to find Romney’s honesty and integrity in his flattery or invective?

Which will you oppose more, Trump’s bad manners or the Democrats’ socialist, culturally nihilistic agenda?

By appearing in the Washington Post Romney personally endorsed a socialist deep state one party newspaper. He lends his magic underwear to those seeking to criminalize opposition to the Democratic Party while buying votes with socialism, free college for all and welfare benefits for anyone that can crawl or dog paddle to the U.S.
