Incoming Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) revealed he would support President Donald Trumps proposed border wall one day after publishing an opinion piece in The Washington Post critiquing nearly everything about the current administration.
I would vote for the border wall, Romney, former Republican presidential candidate, told CNNs Jake Tapper in a Wednesday afternoon interview.
We should have a wall on the southern border, the former governor of Massachusetts added.
While he considers the government shutdown ― which has gone on for nearly two weeks ― an unfortunate situation, Romney did not directly criticize it.

I think Willard knows his place now, his op-ed was a trial balloon to see who would salute it. Of course the media was praising him, but the backlash on facebook, from voters, even from Republican leadership and his own niece wasn’t what he was expecting.
Trump’s response about him being a team player and winning was golden. I think he got that message. And he wasn’t expecting that from President Trump.
That is why today he was back tracking. He looked like a total idiot yesterday with his 2016 Never Trumper Op-Ed.
Mittens may realize he overstepped even before he got sworn in....

When JFK was elected, my uncle was preaching, and his jokes were pretty lame. He said that Massachusetts was “renamed Machusetts because the ‘a-s-s’ went to Washington.”. People laughed. That’s back when “ass” referred to a donkey and not a region of the anatomy.
