Louise Deser Siskel, a high school senior who will preside over the New Year’s Day Tournament of Roses Parade, says she is the first Jewish Rose queen in the parade’s 101-year history.
Siskel, 18, also told the local media that she is the first LGBTQ queen and the first queen that wears glasses, though none of these firsts have been officially verified.
“What was important to me throughout the interview process was that I was completely transparent about who I was, about the things that I value, and about the things that I advocate for,” she told the Pasadena Star News in an interview last week.
Siskel, of San Marino, California, is a member of Pasadena’s Sequoyah High School debate team and judicial committee, is involved in YMCA Youth & Government, and has researched breast cancer at The Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science, as well as worked on research projects funded by NASA Ames. She plans to study cellular and molecular biology in college.

Maybe she doesn't. Maybe she's confused about what she does want. Or maybe she's just clear about what she doesn't want.
Take all the care a human being is capable of, divide it among 7 billion human beings alive today, and in no case is there enough of it to be significant.
Genuine caring involves valuing one thing over another. Spread too thin, one may as well care for nothing at all; it is the same in the outcome.
Didn’t watch the parade. Won’t watch it in the future.
Oh Well, the Tournament of Roses Parade is on the left coast. What else could you expect?
Should always watch the Rose Parade on RFD TV...they actually listen to the band music, talk about the floats, and, especially, the horses.
Very few commercials and they never miss a float.
So, why hasn’t the ‘B’ in LGBTQ been banned yet, since the B stands for Bi which means two and we all now now that there upwards of 50 different genders...

The commies on the left smear conservatives and Orthodox Jewish people, and so do the fascists of the more closeted part of the left. Both kinds of leftists—overt and covert—favor libertine, socialist policies and push against national defense.
Frankly her problem isn’t sexual confusion....or what she thinks or not she wants in that department. She wants attention and belonging that sets her apart to be noticed. This does it.
