Ann Coulter, perhaps the most vocal Trump supporter pushing for a wall on the southern border, said on Wednesday the president will cave on his demand for a wall.
In an interview with radio host Mark Simone, Coulter noted, the president and I have had a little tiff.
She continued: For one thing, he actually did shut down the government though dont worry, he will fold in the end.
Coulter decried the president last month after the senate passed a continuing resolution to stave off a government shutdown that didnt allocate funding for a border wall. Trump reversed course shortly after, re-upping his demand for a border wall and sending the government into a partial shutdown thats now on day 12.
Coulter added the one person who deserves the most credit of all for going ballistic when Trump caved on wall funding right before Christmas which I think we got him to take back is Matt Drudge. He was the one who put it up as the siren.
It just shows you how the media is so terrified of Drudge that they will not mention him, she said, adding the media would rather focus on Fox News. Fox was like three days behind the game.
He really does set the national agenda, as he did with this, Coulter added of Drudge.
At the end of the interview, she turned back to Trump: If he doesnt build the wall, the next president will be a Democrat.

If there is no way this can be done under current law, Trump should demand that Congress immediately authorize and appropriate pay for essential employees. The pitch: "I am committed to border security. Nancy Pelosi and the democrats are clearly committed to open borders. That is the underlying issue. It has been simmering for years. We are now having it out. That disagreement is the cause of the shutdown, and it looks like it may be a very long shutdown."
"Meanwhile, many thousands of good people -- essential employees in the affected agencies -- are still coming to work every day and serving the American people. Their pay is being withheld despite the fact that they are working. That is wrong. The people who are working should be paid on time."
"Whatever you think about the shutdown -- whether you support building the wall, or support the Pelosi democrats and open borders -- surely we can all agree that the good people who are still coming to work should be paid. I can't believe that the democrats want to stiff people who are working. That's pure extortion. If a businessman did that, he'd go to jail. If Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer do it, they should go to jail. Congress must fix this, and fix it now. That's the first order of business, and I'm not going to even negotiate with extortionists until that get done."
Keep it simple, stay on message, and hammer this every day in every way at every level. The people who are working -- the essential employees -- should get paid.
Non-essential employees -- well, if the democrats won't fund the non-essential functions, maybe they don't ever need to reopen. Let's handle those agencies one at a time, and take a serious look at real reform.
She was for Romney before she was for Trump. Never Trumper for sure.
True enough, I'm not a fan of hers - but is she wrong in the substance of what she said - If the president folds he won't be re-elected?
I know for me the wall and ripping on John McCain was what made me an early adopter of da MAGA. That and mentioning America's governing two problems 1) no leadership 2) political correctness. Lots has transpired since and I thing Donald Trump has been a great president especially considering the circumstances.
The wall has always been a big deal to me - as I believe it represents an opportunity to demonstrate the will of the people being followed and restoring faith in government by the people.
The wall would be a physical thing that will represent keeping faith with the American people. I think it will be effective but even if it isn't - Americans voted for a Wall and we want a damn wall. Am I going to vote for a Marxist Democrat (Hickenlooper, probably gets the nomination) hell no - I'm voting for Trump in a heart beat but I do think it hurts his chances for re-election if there is no wall, yes, yes I do.
I can kinda see how having the wall as issue to bludgeon the Democrats with might be effective but that seems pretty risky.
As an aside I wish the president would highlight and label human trafficking for what it is - slavery and slave trading. Make the democrats defend enabling slavery which is what this open border crap is doing.
Ann Coulter is the Best!
Ann keeps the heat on. Thank you Ann.
Leftist freaks generally hate here, although they’ve really had no reason to do so since Mittens ran.
Why would her leftist alleged boyfriends all keep that secret?
I’m not against the idea per se, got a link for discussion?
3 people that 80% of Freepers never tire of hating:
1. Ann Coulter
2. Elon Musk
3. Matt Drudge
“At first I really was irritated by Ann, but in reality we need someone to keep Trump in check in the big leagues. Its important, constructive criticism.”
Welcome to FR.
THE WALL needs $50 BILLION.
Ann Coulter is right.
Trump went low asking only $5 billion,
when he should have asked $50 billion.
$5 billion only buys a brick.
Ann Coulter has more balls than all the male so called conservatives.
Ann has folded so many times on Trump she would fit into a kleenix box.
Ann lives rent-free in a lot of Freepers heads.
Just scan this thread .
Like liberals who hate President Trump, they don’t have an argument, just personal attacks.
I say keep the government shut down until the next election if they don’t fund the wall.
I gave up on her when she turned into a mittens cheerleader. Go away Ann
Interestingly Lindsey Graham is no longer on that list.
Whatever, but she is still one of our best writers and troublemakers.
...
She is the bird dog who flushes them out, speeds past for the smoothies so we don’t get tickets.
Ok, in all seriousness, Coulter keeps the heat on PDJT, which I don’t mind...not letting off the hook, and in the reverse psychology way, too...shrewd.
Drudge?...perhaps getting to return to his conservative roots instead of appealing to the gay cocktail parties...that would be a good thing...
Do I like her or buy her books...no way...Do I think she is a help to maintaining or republic???
You’re darn right she is.
Go back to DU
Ann thinks she’s being helpful and trendy by piling on Trump, but comes off as deficient in actual facts or strategy herself. Complaining is popular precisely because it’s easy.
