You are on the mark. But the experiment, based on a published map--I believe around the turn of the Century--has demonstrated the media's ability to alter perceptions, once again.

People need to understand how the Left uses images to condition perceptions to a destructive purpose.

Prior to 2000 election, blue was typically Republican, and red was typically Democrat, on the election maps.

The commiedia pushing Gore wised up, switched it en masse, and have, as usual, defined the terms and controlled the debate ever since.

Red: danger, warning, anger, hatred: Stop! A natural fit for the left, so they project it onto conservatives.

Blue: calm, reasonable, loyal, steady: Safe. A natural fit for the law-and-order, reliable, tax-paying right, so usurp it for communists.
